We all slept really good and the only one who has a hard time getting moving in the morning is Brenden so we nudge him along getting him up and dressed with a promise of food. We pack up and go down to check out. We really wanted to stay in the same place both nights but it didn't work out that way. Fast and easy check out. The tranfered out luggege to the Royal Pacific for us so we then head out taking some pictures of the lobby and the front of the Hard Rock. We decided that since we had to go checkin to a new hotel we go up to International drive for breakfast. What word does teenage boys understand BUFFET. We had beaskfast at the Ponderosa . It was less than 20 dollars and believe me those boys can eat. Everything on the buffet was hot and fresh with a big assortment of everything.
Ok belly's are full so we go check in at the Royal Pacific. We park the car go check in and our room was ready already so we of course had to go check it out. We then head out to Islands of adventure . I am not a thrill ride kind of person but I did go on Spiderman and the Popeye water ride and The Cat in the Hat. The boys went on everything. I found this park to much more crowed than the studios side so the front of the line pass really came in handy. Brendon wanted to buy his girlfriend something and there was this place that made necklaces. You pick two designs one for each side and they get stamped on to brass. It was really fun you had to ring the gong and call out the name of the person the necklace is for. It was really resonable . He got one for his mother and one for his girlfriend and it was less than 40 dollars. I beleive it was located over by Posidein Fury which I went into and it kind of reminded me of Fantsmic where they use the water to reflect off of . We didn't buy any food in the park just waters . The boys did all of the rides they wanted to some three or four times.
It was about 4 in the afternoon and they were getting hungry so we decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe. Jeffrey had the chicken alfredo Brendon had a Blt which he did not like and I had the Shrimp Alfredo. I thnk our food was less than $40 because I had a coupon which I printed off their web site. After we ate we decided that we would go back and swim awhile and then come back for Mardi Gras. The boys went on ahead of me while I went in to the store to buy tshirts . When I came out it was thumdering and lightning again so no pool and no mardi gras. It rained all evening long.
Jeffery and I decided we were going to go to the Blez outlet mall. I made it ther without getting lost . We hit the disney store and the universal store. Didn't buy a thing can ya belive that? Made it back to the hotel and we all in bed by 10 watching tv and everyone was out by 11.
One of the things I noticed in the parks that the fast passes went really fast. A lot of the attraction the passes were gone for the day early in the day.

Minus the evening thunderstorms sounds like a great trip so far. Keep the reports coming!

It sounds like the kids got lot of ride time at the studios and IOA. I can't wait to hit those parks when my kids get a little older. Which hotel did you prefer? Oh, and thanks for reminding me how much it's gonna cost to feed a teenage boy.

The Hard Rock was really nice as far as amenities go. But it was always really loud and something going on all the time. The Royal pacific was very relaxing and after a day at the park it was just nice to have a quiet place to go to. I would definitely stay at both again but I really like the atmosphere of the Royal Pacific.

That is really cool that they offer nice hotels on complete different ends of the spectrum. I'll have to keep that in mind, because once we start going over to Universal...I'd definitely like to have the front of the line access. Hard Rock kinda sounds like Vegas without the casinos.

My son loves those necklaces. The year IOA opened he bought a couple of them. We lost one over the years & tried finding a place that sold them. Imagine our surprise when we ended up at the Georgia Renaissance Festival & there they were. It was the same guy who was at IOA! His parents run the business in Orlando & he is there sometimes but travels the the various Renaissance Festivals.
