Is there a topic for July? I can't find the thread from the curves assignment.....maybe it expired. ? I am curious to know if there is going to be an assignment for July. Am I in the right forum for this?

You're in the right place. Here's a link to the curves thread. (http://www.tagrel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19479) So far we don't have an assignment for July.
Hellooooo Mark, are you out there?

May I suggest Gold's Gym to follow the Curves assignment?

I have a suggestion... Since Scott has already worked on this one how about if we go with "LOUD"? It's a little harder but July seems like it might be a good month for that topic. What do you all think?
Topic: Loud - Post photos that give a sense of loud sounds.

I'm all for it, Barrie! :boyears:
I hope others have better weather for the 4th than we are having. For tips on taking fireworks, go to Barrie's site where he has some great links on how to get them.
Sorry for the delay. I was out of town on a disastrous camping trip. I'll create the "loud" thread so that it can start directly with pics rather than a lengthy discussion.
As for the question last month was to whether I will be critiquing photos, the answer is no. I was under the impression that not everyone wanted their photos criticized. Also, I'm not really particularly qualified. My suggestion for those that want their photos critiqued would be to specifically request it and/or put them in a separate thread. Just remember if you do, the most value critiques are those that tell you things that you could do better; all to often on photography forums I've seen people request critiques when what they really want is praise.

I'll have my camera with me this evening. Can't wait to play with the settings and see what I end up with!:photog:

Today's celebrations should provide lots of photo opportunities.
