On Friday Sam brought home a school project for father's day and this is what the poem said(you've probably heard it before but here it goes);

Walk a little slower daddy,
said a child oh so small.
I'm following your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see,
So walk a little slower Daddy
For you are leading me.

Someday when I am all grown up,
You're what I want to be,
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.

Driving through town just my boy and me
With a happy meal in his booster seat
Knowing that he couldn't have the toy

That is one of my favorite Father/child songs Timon.

I was blessed with a pretty great Dad - he has had his moments for he is no more human - all in all he did his job well, and most of the time did it with great humor. Thanks to all the Dads who did and are doing their jobs of raising their children honestly, thoughtfully and much humor.

For those the men who do not have children of their own - thanks to you for coaching the ball teams, for teaching, watching your nieces and nephews, or cousins, listened with open hearts and minds, for just plain paying attention to what the smaller among us might need.

:eat:Here is to all the men who have taken the time, the care and given love to the smallest among us. And :flowers: to those who gave us roots and wings!
