The DIS has posted a large set of photos taken during a helicopter ride over WDW, a bit over Universal, Seaworld, etc. They got some great shots of AK, MGM, Epcot, MANY resorts (including several of Pop Century - great to see the layout) - but no MK - still has the no fly zone. There is even a VERY large slideshow you can download.

See them here: DIS Aerial Photos (http://www.wdwinfo.com/photos/orlando-aerial/index.htm)

Those are really neat! It's amazing to see just how expansive everything really is!

Very interesting! I did enjoy seeing how things were laid out. I especially enjoyed seeing people interacting with the dolphins at Discovery Cove. Ah, the memories! I must do that again on my next trip.

A couple of observations. Disney sure does a good job of hiding the ugly parts from guests eyes! And roofs and parking lots sure are ugly! The hat at MGM looked great from the air, though. And wasn't the Animal Kingdom amazingly green compared with the other parks! I almost missed the Tree of Life in all that green.

Thanks for sharing this. One thing I liked was seeing the Lego dragon in the water in downtown Disney. As my granddaughter said, "This is awesome." Quite a word for a then 4-year old!

I think the coolest thing was at EPCOT you could see what space is left in WS for future countries.

Never knew that was all there.

I had to show my mom (never been to WDW) those pictures- she said, "boy I'd love to take THAT tour (heli ride)" LOL!
