Anyone have personal feedback on Fresh yet?
I've checked Deb Wills info.. sounds good, but not sure if it's a good choic for lunch w/slightly picky kids.
TIA

Hi, Owl!

Ahnalira had a little review of it, too. http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/aspplay/m.asp?m=45735

It looks to me like the food may be kind of adult... I know when I was a kid just the sight of so many olives would have put me off!

We stopped in during our holiday stay. Everything looked great, we just had coffee so I can't really comment. Coffee was great, starbucks.

It looks yummy and a pretty good deal for an all you can eat breakfast. I know we'll be trying it out.

Both Fresh and Blue Zoo are in the Dolphin? Or am I confused?

Funny how people's taste are different.

When I was a kid everyone made sure my sister and I were the last ones to get the olives, because we would take them all and then no one else would get them.

My DD is another olive freak. When she was younger and we would go to a place with a salad bar/buffet, her plate would generally consist of cottage cheese with bacon bits and olives.

Both of us love, love, love olives and always have.

Hi, Rosebud! Yes, they're both in the Dolphin. And both look really yummy.

You're right, of course, about different tastes. And I'm sure that picture would really attract an olive-loving child, adult, or whatever. Have you ever seen such a pile! Wow! Looks like they go all out! Note that it's made my plans already.

my daughter also loves (black) olives- she used to put them on all of her fingers as a child & eat them off, one by one...
now she only likes them with a salad.... but still loves them!
I think this restaurant looks YUM-MY! and am thinking that Dolphin may be a good choice for a couples trip? after kids are gone (4+ more years...) or just DH, DD & myself while Sean is off at college...

We ate there 12/30/03 and we loved it. They were serving breakfast and lunch options. We had omletes, roasted chicken, porl tenderloin, roasted vegetables, pasta salad, assorted breads and pastries, two kinds of soup(roasted corn/potato was yummy), fresh fruit, wonderful desserts(too many to mention) and sandwich bar. Very good food and wonderful service. (also got 20%DVC discount..woohoo!)

Connears,
You're really "tempting" me.. especially for our last meal before heading out to the airport... did you sit down originally for breakfast or was that lunch pricing?
Thanks.

We had breakfast at Fresh in the Dolphin Resort on our last morning.

They had a large assortment of items including
made to order omlets
made to order pancakes
made to order french toast and strawberry cream cheese french toast
3 different specialty freshly made juices
banana bread
fresh fruit
assorted cereals
assorted cream cheese flavors
yogurt
oatmeal for yogurt or to have with milk
bacon
steamed sausage (would have prefered this to be made differently)
and more...

I am handicapped so we did not have to pay to valet park.

There was quite a walk to get to Fresh from the main entrance at the Dolphin.

There was four of us and we enjoyed it, the food was OK and so was the service, but to tell you the truth, it was nothing special and I probably would not return unless I was staying at the Dolphin.
