:) hi guys. While it is our preference to be on prpoerty, some trips dictate an off site stay. Some friends are planning to get together near WDW for a few days. I would really appreciate any suggestions for a nice, clean place from those of you who have had successful off site visits. Proximity would be of some importance, ie downtown Disney properties or crossroads area, possibly 192 would be considered as well. Thanks so much. I appreciate the help.

Lou-Ann,

If you do wind up looking toward 192 I would suggest Radisson Resort Parkway. It is about 1 1/2 miles from WDW and such an easy ride to get there. Just take a right from the entrance back onto 192 and you are there in an instant. There are several restaurants to choose from all along the corridor and inside the Radisson is a good lounge, restaurant, and a 'deli' with Starbucks coffee and Pizza Hut pizza, plus assorted sandwiches, drinks and snack foods. The rooms are clean and the personnel very friendly. If you can swing a pool view it is beautiful, and the pool area itself is relaxing. There are several waterfalls, with a quiet grotto area with hot tub. We've stayed there 3 times and plan to go back again. I would prefer onsite, but with the amenities and price the Radisson offers it is hard to beat.

I've stayed at the Renissance World gate on Irlo Bronson Pkwy. Very nice hotel. Huge garden tub. Interior room access. Beautiful pool. 5 minutes away from Magic Kingdom. We got it on priceline for $30 and it was worth every penny.

Oh and the Bath and Body works samples in the bathroom were great too! :eyelove:

We once rented a house near the Caribe Royal. I didnt think it was that far away. It was about $800 for an entire week but we were able to make many meals so it was a great deal for us. (3 Bedroom and 2 bath too)

I ditto the Radison. Book from Mousesavers site for a little savings. It's dynamite. However if you need more room, ddoll could also advise you about houses..she just rented a really nice one. .. quite reasonably.

DH and I stayed at Double Tree at Downtown Disney. We really enjoyed it. The rooms are nice and spacious. Our room had a microwave and refrigerator. Enjoy your trip to WDW.

I would also recommend some of the places like Sheraton Vistana, and Sheraton Villages, and Embassy Vacation Resort.. all just 5 mins from disney - with lots of room.

Sheratons have 2 beds and 2 baths and Embassy has 3 beds and 3 baths.. (they have smaller units there too) - they are all stunning although we love the Embassy because it is really small, but it doenst have any facilities on site for food or anything. However there are lots of places less than a 2 minute drive away..
but it depends what youa re looking for.

I'd like to place another vote for Radisson Resort Parkway on 192. I had the pleasure of staying at this resort last October and it is an extremely nice resort. They have two beautiful pools, two hot tubs, an arcade, a nice lounge, a great sit-down restaurant, and the counter service place has Pizza Hut and some sandwhich and salad type options. Less than one block away is a whole selection of restaurants including a steakhouse and a Japanese place. There was also a grocery store, not a big one like a Publix, but a little local store. This resort also offers transportation to Disney and also SeaWorld and Universal.

I also would like to mention that your very own sponsor here at Tagrel.com "Magical Journeys" has a link on their website that offers a discount at this resort. They also have a lot of great pictures of the whole resort. http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/images/Universal/RRP/RRP.htm

If you have any specific question about his resort please let me know.
