Park crowds middle of February?

Anyone been during the "Winter Break" season in the middle of February?

My good friends are heading down during Presidents Day week and I remember last year it seemed pretty quiet.

Anyone else have experiences with traveling during this time? Does it get pretty crowded?

Suzy - this week was traditionally crowded. However, I have friends that travel to WDW every year during this week and they claim that it is not as crowded as it used to be. One of the reasons, I believe, is that many school districts no longer give the kids off during the President's Week. We used to get the week, now we do not There are a number of districts that have changed the school calendar in this way - so while it is still relatively busy, it is not a jammed as it used to be. I hope your friends enjoy a wonderful vacation!!

Sorry, I just now saw this post! Usually, February srats off quiet and gets busier towards the end of the Month and into March as Spring Breaks have now started.
We were over at the MK last Wednesday, and everything was a walk on with no wait for anything.
The weather has been fantastic (as usual) by the way.

We love this time of year! My wife and I have been twice without kids over Valentines Day--returning during Pres. weekend. Short lines at the parks if you can figure out where the cheerleading competitions AREN'T!

SuzyQ, does this bring back memories of last V-Day?

Ah! That's great! What fond memories that picture brings! (For those who are a little lost on this one, a few of us got together and took an Illuminations cruise together - on Valentine's Day!) I'm the tired looking one on the right. :sleep:
