www.allears.net (http://www.allears.net) is reporting DQ is on fire, and a photo from the area show what may be a very major fire in the DTD area.

http://www.allears.net/news/dtdfire.jpg

So far major news sources and local Florida TV stations have been silent.

Prayers to all involved for a safe evacuation.

UPDATE:

Still no local or national news agencies reporting this story!

Thanks Frogman.

Didn't see it (obviously) and since I have yet to be able to confirm it, I though (hoped actually) rumors was the best place to leace it.

Will move over to http://tagrel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19559

Thanks again,

Its over!

As reported at www.allears.net (http://www.allears.net)

Fire at Downtown Disney West Side Closes Shops Temporarily
June 4, 2007 -- A car fire in the parking lot at Downtown Disney West Side created lots of smoke this morning, forcing several Downtown Disney shops to close. ALL EARSŪ friend Beth F. was on the scene and shared this photo while the fire was still burning. The fire was eventually contained and shops are operating now as normal.

Looks like the greenban will visit DQ again!

-Tony

P.S. Looks like our prayers were answered, no injuries!

I don't understand why they didn't check first to make sure it wasn't DQ burning before reporting? But at least it sounds like nobody was hurt.

I'm sure no one was allowed to get too close. To anyone in the Marketplace or SSR, the smoke would appear to be pouring out of DQ and not the parking lot behind it.

This seems to have been reported so quickly, there probably were no clear reports yet. It didn't even last long enough to get picked up by the local news. The first reports seem to have been via cell phones.

BTW, Hi nobody. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/a/wavey.gif
