Cath and Kasey have been itching to get into Disney Quest for the past couple of trips. I have been dragging my feet, but am going to give in this year. So, for those of you that have been there before, what kind of time should I allocate for this activity. I don't want to cut it short :treadmill: , but also don't want to be there so long it drags :deepSleep: .

Looking for life experiences here.
Thanks all!

Ive been there many times on my last trip- we had the unlimited pass so we got to do disneyquest at will as part of the perk.

The first time we went it was a Monday morning (In may) and it was realtively uncrowded and oyu could walk onto almost everything you wanted to do. we stayed about 2 hours and felt ready to move on. the next time we went was a Tuesday evening about 8pm. It was crowded but we didnt wait too long and did all we wanted to do by about 9:30 we were pretty tired after being in a water park half the day and Epcot another half day. We went back on Friday afternoon about 3ish and it was really crowded with school kids. I guess early May is when they have field trips and there was a couple bus loads of kids to compete with. The build your own roller coaster was the worst line and i think I waited about 30 minutes,. Once they left it wasnt bad at all.

I personally feel like a half day is plenty time to do almost everything at least once and your favorites a second time. If its crowded it will take longer. I heard and my experience was that morning time was the least busy time to go.

I cant tell you how much fun this place is. It was so much fun to have games based on the rides at Magic Kingdom. The buzz light year ride is one of my favorites ans of course the build your own roller coaster and ride it. They had a jungle cruise game/ride that was for up to 4 people and Pirates of the carabean that was better with at least 3 or 4 people. It was fun to discover what new game was around the next corner or floor.

We actually had so much fun at DQ last summer we ended up spending the whole day and most of the evening there. Time flew by. It was something the boys really wanted to do, but we all had a great time.

Bob and I loved Disney Quest when we went there with friends. It really is more fun to do DQ with 3 or more, but when we split off on our own, we had fun, too. The best of the best are Pirates, the Buzz Blaster cars, the Roller Coaster design/ride, and the Jungle Cruise rafts.

Then there are things you don't think will be fun, but you will be entranced for hours. We found ourselves in hysterics doing a truck simulator/driving skill game, sitdown of course. When we found we stunk at the skill level, we found enjoyment in being bad. We experimented with various ways of crashing the truck. How often can you do that and walk away for cheesecake?

The Cheesecake Factory and the Wonderland Cafe are places to relax and snack with excellent food. You can have sandwiches or salads or lucious desserts. We got there at opening, which was 11:30 during a slump season and left at 3:30, thoroughly happy with a day of play. We hadn't done everything but we did most and enjoyed it to the max. Our trip was on a November weekday. As the day got later, the place got more crowded, but never bad.

Disney Quest never opens really early in the morning and it usually is open fairly late, after parks closing. You can always get your hands stamped, go out shopping or to a nearby movie and return later for another crack at that game your kid humiliated you at in the morning.

Whatever you decide, have fun at this most magical of games palaces! :D

Joe,

It's best to go to DQ on nice Sunny days. If you go on lousy weather days you'll run into larger crowds.

We were there last week and had a great time! We had never been there before either. We stayed about 3 hours, including having dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. My kids are 4 1/2 and 7 and they both loved it! Our fave was the Battle for Buccaneer Gold.....what a blast! It was also fun to play all the old favorite video games like Asteroids, Pac Man (all versions...some I had forgotten about!), Centipede etc. My kids just thought it was cool that you could play the games "without paying!" Also, they have a pressed penny machine (if the kids collect them), and "claw" games....which are $1/each. If your kids like these game sthe one with the Care Bears in it is very easy to win. Both my kids won and we saw another family who had about 10 bears! They commented how easy it was too! I also recommend going early. We went around 2pm and it was pretty dead in there....it was starting to get more crowded as we were leaving and I can see it being really crowded in the evening. Have fun! Kathy
