in that... if you are in the park prior to the "party" they won't kick you out but you can't ride?
just wondering....

We've been there-riding Buzz Lightyear about 5 times in a row at 7pm park closing because the CM wasn't standing at the door yet to check wristbands-and we didn't have any! The park is still open and I daresay you could stay as long as you want, it just seemed to be the entrance to the rides where bands were checked. When we have stayed for an enight, we were never checked-heck, don't even remember seeing CM's much-anywhere in the park but at the rides. Very empty-I heard they only sold 5,000 tickets, but perhaps that has changed. Really neat/creepy being in Adventureland and seeing NO ONE anywhere in front, beside, or behind you! It is dark back there! And leaving, you could turn around and look at the castle and only a handful of people were in view. We were there from 10pm to 1am so that may have eliminated a bunch of families, but boy it was neat!

When we went to :mrgreenSanta: MVMCP in December, they were checking our wristbands at the beginning of the party. But, as the night went on, no one asked to see them.

On a side note, we were allowed to enter MK at 4pm with only our MVMCP ticket. We didn't need our AP's or hoppers.

i am asking because since the MNSSHP is sold out on Halloween, I was wondering if it would be possible to "check it out" (to see if it's something I want to do on a future trip...) and could use mine & DD's AP's to get into the park early afternoon & just hang around for a while to see what it's like- without really doing anything....
do you think this is possible?
do they close the park before MNSSHP? so that we would have to leave?
thanks!

I went this past Christmas and there is no difficulty for MVMCP ticket holders getting a little early and I didn't see them checking for wristbands until after 7:00pm (and yes, they were checking the night I was there). Based on my own limitted experience (one E-night and one MVMCP) I think the major thing that differentiates MVMCP from an E-ticket night is the entertainment which doesn't really get started until after 7:00pm. So I doubt you would really get a feel for the event. But to answer your question, no, the park doesn't really shut down although they do restrict you to certain sections between park close and the beginning of the party.

hmm - interesting question pixi!

Like LGCheri said we were able to get into the park with our MVMCP tickets, but others were also entering the park with just their park tickets.

What I have noticed both on e-nights and MVMCP was CM's turning people away from attractions, shows and such at the time the park was due to close for the day if they did not have a wristband. They of course did not turn anyone away from shopping

Hmm, it has been a while, but when we went to MNSSHP it was "advertised" that the MK closed at 6pm and reopened at 7. In three trips we never made it there until just after 7 though I hear this year people were getting in early with thier ticket so things must have changed. We never had wristbands for Halloween in 97,98, 99.
