I just posted up some pics of me and my family in the gallery, go check them out and don't laugh too hard lol. I took them with a 3-megapixel sony dsc-72 camera about 4-5 years old. Anyway it broke(dropped it after to omuch saki at Epcot lol) and I just got a new sony 7-megapixel
DSC-W90 and a 4 gig memory card to go with it. I'm gonna keep the old 2 gig card I got from the old camera for doing MP3 videos on the new one too, I think it will give me a little over 10 hours of video. If you have any tips or tricks for me, let me know, I'm just a novice but I try!

Cute family, KevGuy.
For those who can't find their way to KevGuy's Gallery. http://tagrel.com/photopost/showgallery.php?ppuser=1090&cat=500
My only tip, would be to turn off the date on the photo. I've seen so many pictures that came out perfect...ruined by the date stamp.
Since the date is part of the properties of the photo, you don't really need it on the image.

Yea, thanks for the tip. That was on the old camera, I don't even know how to turn that feature on with my new one lol. I used to leave it on as we usually had the photos printed out at CVS and we wanted to be able to remember the exact date. Thanks for posting up the link too much appreciated.

That's the darn problem with tryin to drink your way around the world! First you stagger just a little then you start droppin stuff and before you know it you find yourself in an AA meeting in Downtown Disney somewhere. Not good. :p J/K!!! Loved your pics, they are great.

KevGuy - the Sony W90 takes a Memory Stick Pro Duo whereas the P72 took the Pro. This means the card that fits into the W90 is physically half the size of what you already have.
For those looking to upgrade their Sony cameras, rumor has it Sony will again change their Memory Sticks by the end of the year.

Thanks for the heads up Photographer, another fine person from my home state!!:D In fact I just got a new sony 4 gig pro duo mem card for it, I get like over 1200 pics at 7mp. I also have the old 2 gig card pro duo saved as well. As both are duo the hav ethe adapter with them so I can still use both in my camera. I'm gonna use the 4 gig for pics and the 2 gig for mp3 videos or vice versa lol. The original 16 meg card that came with my old camera was a pro stick and yes it is too big for the new camera. I was so happy they didn't have pro only sticks the day I went to get the 2 gig card at circuit city in hind sight after I realize the new one can't use the old pro sticks. I was so scared the duo was wrong or the adapter was not gonna work when I got it for the old camera right before my trip.
Thanks Kelly, yes I like it it is small and compact which is great for the parks, and still has enough ooomph and power to take really nice shots. So far I'm liking the ISO setting for low light stuff, makes it come out really clear especially when I don't use the flash outside in the shade for instance.
