I found my dads name on the michigan site, he called and there is over $1000 dollars coming to him. A very good chunk of change for a senior citizen on a very strict budget.

5 yrs ago my husband and i both had money from an old stock that we thought was rolled over into the new stock plan. I always figured i would never had money there that all the places...work, bank etc had our current address. so you never know. it is free to check it out and collect anything you may have coming to you.
I think my dads must have been from an old life insurance policy that his parents had, the city listed was for the same one where they lived and his name was on their house. And it said it was from met life.

Oh Thanks for the site. I agree you just never know. I walked into the office in columbus ohio many years ago and found 40 + for my husband. The only catch is you got to prove its you and they wanted something with that address on it. Fortunately he had it. At the rate I get rid of stuff , that could be difficult now.

Oh, sooo funny. I just found 45 that could be me and 14+ that I know is DH but not sure I can find the paper to prove and not really worth much time searching. Now that 1000 you found would be!

They only asked us for our ss# and past addresses to see if they matched and they mail out the checks. My husband is waiting for his big check of $11 :) It was from an old jury ck that he forgot to cash.

hmmm I guess we could buy a couple of dole whips with it.

I've kept every one of our tax statements filed - except one that got lost - since we were first married 23 years ago. They will have your old address on them.
