I really like Mark's thread on photography tips. Robin used photoshop to spruce up a photo on another thread. I know there are lots of people on here who are experienced with photoshop. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing some photoshop tips here. Maybe a little before and after with some simple instructions on how.

I don't have photoshop, but I do use PaintShopPro. I love reading tips and hints. I never cease to be amazed at all you can do!

Great minds think alike! I've posted a thread where we can try out the tips, too :D
Dave, PSP has totally devoted followers. I've never been able to learn it. Might have to buy it someday if I can find it really cheap. Maybe I can get an older version...
I don't know for other areas but in the digital scrapbooking world, almost all of the designers use full-up Photoshop. Of those who, like me, make pages, I''ve seen polls say about 1/4 full Photoshop, half Photoshop Elements, a little under 1/4 PSP, and the other tools used in order of apparent popularity: Digital Image Pro, Word (Word!), special purpose scrapbooking programs (very limited), PowerPoint, and then there's me. I usually use Fireworks which Brian turned me on to. It's the best tool out there for resizing things and positioning them precisely, both of which I do a lot when making scrapbook pages.
The hardest thing about a photoshop tips thread is that things are different in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, Lightroom, Aperture, GIMP, etc. Giving step-by-step instructions is almost impossible. We might be able to make something work by covering some general concepts like adjusting levels, using curves, cloning, sharpening, noise reduction, etc.

What, everyone doesn't use photoshop? I think you all might be right. I was thinking of really basic tips but I'm not sure those would even work for everyone. I like MissB's thread better, Can this photo be saved (http://www.tagrel.com/forum/showthread.php?p=273669#post273669). That way anyone can use any software and tell how they did it.
