So - what is this new room and what should be posted here?
This room should contain Travel related deals including:
Special offers from MouseFanTravel.com
Rental Car Codes or Special transportation deals
Airfare deals and/or airline travel info: (i.e. SouthWest Dings, JetBlue has opened up bookings through 12/31, etc.)
WDW Annual Pass (AP) Rates, AAA Rates, Disney Visa Rates
Resort offers (onsite or offsite)
Park offers (onsite or offsite)What should NOT be posted here?
Travel Agent, TownCar, etc. offers for companies other than site sponsors. This is only fair to our sponsors.
NO non-travel related 'deals' like Disney merchandise, etc. This is most likely more appropriate in our Budget or Catch-all forums.
Don't worry - if you make a mistake and post in the wrong place, a moderator will come along and help you out! :)A few thoughts to help the room work for YOU!
When in the Travel Deals forum, there is a dropdown menu called Forum Tools where you could (if desired) subscribe to the forum. This might be handy for those waiting for a special deal like AP rates or airfare specials. You would receive an email whenever a new post is made, so be sure you don't mind that if you do subscribe! :yes: And of course, you can always unsubscribe if the emails are annoying. ;)
Existing forums should be used to discuss Travel questions as always. We want to try to keep this forum specifically to list current Travel Deals to make them easy to scan and locate.
It is fine to add a link from another forum to a deal in this forum. For example a post could be added to Let's Check In when new AP rates are released. Not required, but fine to do if you so choose. :yes:
When posting a time limited offer, it might prove wise to state the expiration date in the subject. (i.e. Title - Expires 12/31/07)
And last - if you have questions/ideas - please let us know!
