You know, for as many times as we have been to AK, we have never seen Flights of Wonder!
Does anyone have an opinion on it? A brief review as to what it is and if it is worth the time?

I enjoyed Flights of Wonder. It's mostly a showcase for different species of birds doing trained behaviors like what they would do in the wild. There's a little plot line to pull it all together. Some of the species are ones few people are familiar with. Others are familiar but always fun to see--like the singing parrot who does an amazingly LONG song.
If you enjoy birds and seeing live animals perform, it's worth the time!
yes, yes, yes!!!
we were thrilled by it!
It was educational & entertaining! Very talented CM's and birds!

We saw it about 2 years ago. We really enjoyed the show. And it was a nice sit down break. It's not in the plans for the next trip though. It's just not the kind of show I'd like to repeat. I'd recommend seeing it at least once. Definitly worth the time.
Hope this helps,
Holly

I have to add my vote for seeing Flights of Wonder, too! It's one of my favorite shows and one I see at least once every trip. You get to see lots of cool birds up close and personal...and if you sit in one of the three front sections, a hawk will fly right over your head! Very cool!

Hi, my name is VillainGirl and I'm a recovering commando tourer.
(everyone respond, "Hello, VillainGirl.")
Up until two trips ago I hardly ever went to shows. In fact despite numerous earlier trips I didn't even see B&B for the first time until Jan 2003. As part of my recovery program, I now make myself go to at least a couple of shows at each park, not because I necessarily want to but just to make myself sit down and rest for a few minutes. Such was the mind set I was in the first time I saw Flights of Wonder. Well, let me tell you - it was awesome!!!! Probably one of the best trained animal type show I've ever been to, and I'm really not into birds. It was educational and entertaining. I'd highly recommend you see it at least once. Then five year old DS also enjoyed it too.

Thanks for the responses! Well, it looks like we will definitely have to put that on our agenda for our next trip! We usually think that we are gong to go and see it, but we get distracted by all the other attractions that we keep putting it off.
This time, though, we will be sure to go!

go and see it and if you want a real treat, tour AK with my DW, she has 10 birds as of today. I have about a 10 minute tape with her chatting up with the hyacyinth macaws in the front. They are the very dark blue large parrots near the entrance. They were quite a distance away and walked right down to her and put on a quite a show, bobbing and dancing and chattering up a storm.BTW,those are two fairly rare birds, take the time next trip to enjoy them

It is one of the many unexpected treasures of Animal Kingdom. It will hold young children's interest and entertain you, too.
Villain Girl described it best, awesome!

You should go see it at least once. DH and I went and really enjoyed it. We have been to AK quite a few times also. We have never seen Tarzan Rocks.

We just saw it for the first time today! Can I say amazing is an understatement. DH was not sure but he went along anyway and was in awe when we left. I would recommend to all.
