Help! Why is it that lately every time I come back to this website, I have to login? I ask to remember me, but it doesn't work.

It could be a cookie problem.
Log out. Get rid of all the cookies which have Tagrel on them. Reboot. Log back in and see if that helps. Sorry you are having trouble.

This has been happening to me for the last few days, too. Never happened before, I didn't change any of my settings either. Doesn't happen on any other sites.
Are you sure there isn't something different here, Dave?

Yup, same code as it has been. Remove those tagrel cookies, and try again. Seems they can get corrupted...
I have never been able to have the site remember me. But I don't toss my cookies as often as I should. There is nothing as purifying as tossing your cookies regularly....
I'll give it a shot.

Here's something really funny, I don't EVEN KNOW HOW to toss my cookies. I'm lucky to be able to login and out. Any help? I know, I've had this computer for four years and still know very little about what it does and how to do it. I manage to find Disney things and do ebay, that's about it for me.

I removed the Tagrel cookies and it worked for yesterday, but again today I had to log in when I came.
Any other ideas?

ddoll I had this problem for about 2 weeks then for some reason it stopped just as suddenly as it started. I have been OK now for a couple of months. I did not change anything so really do not know what the problem was.

I understand how frustrating this sort of thing is, but I can't seem to find any solution. :(
I use 5 different computers to access the site (actually probably more than that) and have NOT seen this problem at all... And if I can't recreate it, I can't debug it. I can only assume it has to do with one's setup on their computer, along with possibly other software you run on your computer that affects internet access. I run with default settings on most of my computers, so I'm also assuming its a setting that some people change... Just don't know what it is.
I've searched for others having this problem, and so DO see this with the software we use here on the site, but no one has been able to idenify WHAT causes the problem. So, the solution remains to be found.
I'll keep looking!

Thanks Tagrel for trying to figure this one out for us!
I see this login issue once in a blue moon - (I figured it was just that the position of the moon  )

Yes, thanks for trying Dave. I certainly appreciate your dilemma in trying to re-create something you can't even see.
I haven't changed any settings or added anything (other than deleting the cookies as suggested), so I don't believe I did anything here to cause the log-in difficulty. It's still happening, but hopefully it'll just disappear one day for me as it did for MargaretJ.

ddoll, I'm trying to figure this one out, too. I had a lot of login problems on php sites while I was still using Netscape(an older version). When I switched to IE6, I had no more problems here. However, after getting a new computer recently I've had some logout problems on a couple of sites, still not here. I get logged out on them without taking out their cookies or actually logging out. Passporter is one of them. I just log back on and start over, but I would love to find out why I'm doing this since no one else seems to be reporting this problem at that site.
I know that doesn't help you now, but I'm hoping eventually to figure this out. Certainly we want you to feel welcome and have the site be as user friendly as can be. So sorry I don't have an answer for you at this time.

Thanks Moley. I do use Netscape 7.0, so that may be the answer. Can't say I'll switch to IE yet though....I'm much more comfortable using Netscape.

Haven't tried Netscape 7.0 yet. 6.0 seemed to work OK... It was Netscape 4.7 that had problems if I remember correctly... So many browsers, SOOOOO little consistency! :winking:
ddoll, When did you start using Netscape 7.0?

Oh, I started using Netscape 7.0 ages ago, Dave. It sure isn't a recent change for me.
And yes...I still have to log in every time I come here. Oh bother! And of course you know how exhausting that can be!! LOL

LOL, but it CAN be annoying though!
So you deleted ALL the Tagrel.com cookies, and the problem continues huh.... Very strange... Especially if it used to work OK. I'll keep looking for an answer...
