Join the monthly rock n’ roll cocktail party at Hard Rock Hotel's Velvet Sessions held the last Thursday of the month.

Each “session” combines creative cocktails with live music from some of the hottest rock bands.

Band: To Be Announced
Admission: $25 and includes FREE drinks, hors de oeuvres, and warm up tunes from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Cash bar and rock music from 8:30 pm on.

You must request your invitation online to attend. Velvet Sessions is a 21 and older event.

Yes, this is true. It was posted in the hotel (just left yesterday) and was advertised on the hotel based TV channel. The concerts usually feature B-type acts (those acts that were once hot acts, but now only do smaller venues). All in all, though, still very good.

And Velvet Bar is a very cool place. If you are considering going there, dress up--it's not a place for jeans and a t-shirt. It's a see and be-seen place. Very trendy, very hip, very chic.

If you have a W hotel in your area with a bar like Whiskey Blue, it's kind of like that.

I'm on the Velvet Sessions invite list, but alas, I haven't ever been able to time a trip to FL to line up with a session.
