Disneyland Reports Wider Loss

Disneyland Resort Paris' loss widened to 82.7 million euros ($91 million) in the six months ended March 31 from 76.8 million euros a year earlier, theme park operator Euro Disney said Tuesday. Despite a generally weak tourism environment caused by current geopolitical uncertainties, revenue increased 8 percent to 472.6 million euros ($520 million) from 437.6 million euros a year ago. But the revenue total still failed to meet original expectations, Euro Disney said. Operating margin decreased to 16 million euros ($17.6 million) from 42.5 million euros in the previous year, Euro Disney said. Direct operating costs and marketing, general and administrative expenses increased significantly during the period.

Ouch!

Wow -- this park just does not seem to be able to met expectations!

Makes one wonder what will be the next step for this park!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the phrase - current geopolitical uncertainties
in my reply to Magee I was wondering what to call it - that's why our trip is off - we were to be in Normandy for the 60th Anniversary of D-Day with our WWII Reenacting groups - many reenactors are pulling out of this : (
and opting for ceremonies at home etc. - darn shame - it would have been somthing to be there : ( we are really saddened by this
