I have a 5 day park hopper for DL, it's one of the adult play for the price of a child tickets that expires April 27th, I got it using my airmiles points. We will be there in good time to use the ticket but my question is:
Could I upgrade this to a 6 day or even 7 day ticket and if so what do you think the cost would be?

Thanks for the info Akdisney!
I was thinking maybe you could buy a shorter hopper online. It would be cheaper than at the gate.
For some reason at DL - they don't think people want to stay there longer than about 5 days - silly Disney!
The other thought I had was to see about upgrading to an annual pass. It might be about as cheap as buying a 2 day hopper. Burns a hole in your pocket - annual passes can be dangerous! ;)

Well I think disneyland did poll "how long people stay at disneyland"
and most do not stay not longer than 5 days.
it about three whole days you can see all of disneyland resort.
this do not count for the disneyland Resort pool time.
annual passes can be dangerous? well yes but is great when I keep you up photo on what going on at disneyland.

I applied my multiday ticket towards an Annual pass once.
I even did it in the middle of the first day, several hours after I had entered the park. I asked on a lark what the price would be and was floored how little much more I would have to pay, I think it was another $50. I got way more than $50 out of the AP. I got my money's worth just out of the free parking at the time.
p.s. california adventure sure has improved a lot over the years

We were planning on purchasing an 8 day pass two years ago that was posted on the Disneyland website. When we went to our travel agent to purchase the package through them (needed to make some adjustments that couldn't have been done on-line) they called WDT and they said the 8 day pass option wasn't available. We opted for the annual pass ( always wanted one, and what better time then for Disney's 50th). Ended up working out OK - we didn't have to purchase tickets the following year and used our $50 Alaska Airlines ticket for one person. Booked the hotel with AP discount. The problem being that we had to go earlier the following year to get in within the one year time frame. I have thought maybe it would be best to purchase one annual pass for one family member (so you can still get dicounts at shops and restaurants) and then just the hoppers needed for other family mambers. The problem with this is that if you purchase WDT packages - it makes it a little more difficult since one person doesn't need the pass and the others do...
Oh well, we are planning on our next visit being to WDW and since we aren't able to get there as often.... the annual pass won't be an issue for awhile :p
I think you can still upgrade your hoppers to an annual pass and pay the difference in value. Though I am hearing that Disney may discontinue this as they are getting wise to those who having been getting or purchasing for a small fee, hoppers from others who have one day left and then upgrading them to an annual at little cost.

Just thought I would update this with the answer. I arrived at Disneyland with my adult 5 day park hopper that I got for the price of a child ticket and was able to add a 6th day to it for $10. Good deal!!!
