I was thinking about this and what would make the next great disney attraction or ride? If you was an immagineer what would you suggest be added to Disneyland?

I think Tomorrowland needs the next big attraction. That area is almost feeling like today land since we are now in Walt's tomorrowland. I htink we need to stretch out and think the future more maybe up to the year 2025 or beyond.

I like the idea of a ride verses show because it keeps the lines moving all the time instead of waiting for a start time. I miss the day of the Incredible shrinking machine. I think a ride similar but themed to the future would be best. Maybe go into more space things. We have been making Mars a big point of interest in the space program so maybe Disney could explore Mars? or beyond? I can see it being an attraction to include Goofy for some reason. He seems like the space type to me. lol I would make this a D or C type attractipn. I love the fast things most myself but I think about familes and it would be nice to add something more in tomorrowland that the family can do together no matter how old your kids are.

What do others think? Any ideas on what you would add or do to Disneyland to make the next big attraction?

Great question Barb!

I too would go into tomorrowland - I love your idea of bringing back an updated version of Journey into innerspace and for outerspace.

The very first thing I would do is make new "shows" for Star Wars. Then I would shoot a new 3D movie for the Honey I shrink the Audience. I would feature the Incrediables. If there was ever a movie that cried out for 3D show it has to be the Incrediables:D Dash running towards you, ice shooting at you - bubbles that encase you and tons more.

Since tomorrow and science were things that Walt was interested in - I would take out that Innoventions building and put an attraction that uses the Indy ride technology and explores the sea. If a character tie in is needed - Nemo characters would fit nicely.

Then I would figure out what to do with the track from the peoplemover. Either remove it or put an attraction on it. I am pretty sure there are sections of that are missing. It might take a signficate amount of imagineering powers to get this one done - would call in all the imagineers here to help out!:)

Return of People Mover or Rocket Rods. Oh how I loved the Rocket Rods and the quick take-offs and turns and the beeps. There's nothing like riding it in the hot sun and soft rain. Whooooosh!

I'd like more action going on with characters. The mime is long gone from New Orleans Square. Would be cool to see them bring back the Three Little Pigs, Rescue Rangers, and more villains.

Honestly, Matt Oimet did a fabulous job bringing the park back to it's heyday. I was very sad to see him leave Disney. He deserves a great deal of respect.

I'd bring back the TTA and move the Astro Orbiter (is that the right name?) on top of it's tower. It just looks so sad, sitting on the ground. :(

Can you believe I never got to ride Rocket rods. They was being installed when I went one time. Then I had a dry spell and didnt get there for many years and it was on the map when I went but completly closed and blocked off and then the next week off the map. I imagine it was like the begining of California Screeming right?

Rocket Rods lines were crazy when it opened. So where the number of times the darn things broke down. It was fun to zip along the "roadway" but really it was just a bad idea replacement for a good attraction.

My Grandmother who was in her early 70's rode it a couple of times and really enjoyed them.

I wish they would just do something with that track!

Robin - I think the moving of the Astro Obiters had something to do with safety - I could be wrong - but the Space Mtn re-hab that took forever had to do with foundation issues. I do agree that the attraction was much more thrilling when it was on top of Tomorrowland!
