Cinderella’s Royal Table & Hollywood & Vine
Ok, set alarm for 6a to go down to front desk to check-out/in for package & beat any crowds. Turn on TV & THEY CAUGHT SADAAM!!! Woo-hoo! Now if we could only get our troops back home! :angelPray: Realize toilet wasn’t working correctly last night when we got in so actually got to share the good news w/ the maintenance CM. It is raining on the way to Cinema Hall & everything is virtually deserted so I was the only person @ front desk. Info’d will have to switch rooms which is exactly what the CM yesterday said would not happen but actually get moved to Dalmatians section & still on 3rd flr so not too upset. Get new room keys & info to have luggage moved after 11a. Back to the room & get ready to head out for 1st day in parks.
Brought two poncho’s from last year; used one on myself & the other on the stroller w/ Kaela in it but realized by time got from our room to bus stop that isn’t going to work – it’s a monsoon!!! Bought additional poncho for Kaela so now one for me, one for her & one for stroller! It worked great. Next time I will get a rain cover made for a stroller which will probably work even better. Get to MK around 8:45a (haven’t made an early entry yet :P ) & rain is keeping crowds away in droves. Walk on every ride in Fantasyland – no joke. We did Dumbo, Pooh, PhilharMagic, Peter Pan, Snow White, Small World & Tea Party all before our 9:40a CRT PS. Actually had time to do Peter Pan & PhilharMagic twice it was that empty. PhilharMagic is GREAT!!! We did it about 6 times during the whole week & have to ride Peter Pan every chance we get so we can fly over London & see “Ariel” & her sisters. & all this time I never noticed there were actually cars moving on the streets when you fly over the city – I’ve only seen the rooftops & Big Ben.
CRT was a mad house. Everybody who had a PS just went there to wait & get out of the rain. Fairy Godmother was taking pics & it seemed to be moving pretty quickly. Our name gets called & off we go up the circular stairs. I love those stained glass “windows” going to the dining area. Also, when you are in the lobby waiting to be called make sure you look up the wall on the Fairy Godmothers right hand side & you’ll see Jaq & Gus watching the festivities below. We were in the middle of two other tables celebrating birthdays also so our waiter was pretty busy. We got the cupcake & a magical moments certificate, signed by the waiter, not the princesses. All the princesses did mention Kaela’s birthday though on their visits to our table so she was still pleased.
Get out of CRT about 10:45 & still raining buckets. Ride Dumbo again & head over to Ariel’s Grotto. Again no line whatsoever. We get to go in & talk to Ariel until another family arrives. :ariel: Kaela & Ariel discuss dingelhoppers & Prince Eric. It was the funniest thing ever.
Now have done everything in Fantasyland & then some so hop on WDW Railroad to get over to Frontierland. Rain finally starts to let up so when we get off the train it’s down to a drizzle so crowds are beginning to pick up. Go over to BTMRR & there is a little wait but nothing to get excited about. Kaela’s too little & I’m too scared to do Splash Mountain so we head over to the Country Bear’s Jamboree. It’s the Christmas version & Kaela likes it a lot – I’m about to prop my head up & take a short nap by the end. :sleep: Nothing else in Frontierland interests us & since the rain has stopped the people count is going up so we head back to our hotel for dry shoes & a nap. Thanks to the rain we finished Fantasyland & Frontierland by 12:30p.
Have a 5p PS for Hollywood & Vine/Fantasmic so head out to bus stop @ 4:30. Why is it that every time we get to the bus stop it seems like our park bus just left? Get to MGM right @ 5p & go straight to restaurant. I wrote my dining reviews on TourGuideMike.com but I have to say it again – the only thing I could taste was salt. It was like the only seasoning they ever use was the stuff. Still celebrating the birthday so yet again “the cupcake”. :wink: I think those cupcakes are like fruitcake, they just get passed from restaurant to restaurant they look so old when you get them. But it’s nice just the same that they do anything. We head out of there & just walk up & down Hollywood Blvd & browse the shops until it’s time to go over to Fantasmic at 7p. Don’t want to go too far into the park because we still have that to do Tuesday. Head over to Oscar’s to get into the reserved Fantasmic seating. Let me tell you – that walk from Oscar’s to your seating section is LONG!!! :treadmill: They should provide a trolley back there. Get to our seats which aren’t exactly center stage but worth not having to stand in line hoping to get a pretty good view. This was our 1st time seeing the show & it was very good, definitely a must do again. :minnie:
Show ends & it’s dark but still early, not even 8p yet. So I head over to Contemp because the previous night I left Kaela’s birthday placemat @ Chef Mickey’s & was told just come by to pick up another. Since over at Contemp we hop on monorail & transfer @ TTC & head over to Epcot. We don’t get off we just ride by to see all the scenery & finally head back to resort to get ready for day 3.
