Hi all,
My best friend (& partner in Disney delights) & I were on the phone yesterday and started kicking around the idea of a trip in either March or April of this year pending her hubby saying she can go & my leg being recovered enough.
We want to use the Dream Maker Silver plan using the 2 Magical Wishes per day for our meals. I have used this plan 2x in the past and loved it, but each year they tweak it a bit by making some restaurants count as 2 wishes and taking others out of the plan completely. Even though we don't know if & when we are going for sure we are planning our days around our restaurants and want to be sure we can go where we want to go. Has anyone seen an update of restaurants included for 2004? I have looked on Deb Willis' site (not updated from 2003) and the magic kingdom site which has no information.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Stinkerbelle!
I went a hunting and this is what I found on the official site- hope it helps!
2004 Silver Package (http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw/images2003/languagespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/F_SilverWDTC.pdf)
We have used the Silver Add on the last few times and found that it works well for us - we like to sit down to eat, and I really like having the trip basically paid for before we get there!

Wow, nice brochure! WDW is making much better use of the web than in years past. That made me want to go back soooo badly. We have also used the Silver Package and think it can be a good deal and a GREAT time. It's a wonderful no pressure plan.
I want that Mickey crystal sculpture! Oooooh! I want to go back again!

Betsy- You ROCK!!! :theWave:
Thanks so much for finding this information. This is much better than the 2003 brochure and the only place we wanted to go that will count for 2 wishes is Jiko. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind having some counter service meals out of my own pocket in lieu of the Crystal Mickey!
Thanks again!

How much extra is it per person for the add on?

Barb-
I copied the following information for you from Mousesavers.com. Its pretty comprehensive.
This plan isn't a good value for everyone but it works great for us as I always travel with either all adults or adults and teens who are adventuresome with their dining choices. Also, when I use this plan its with people who are not newbies who have to cram everything into one short trip where a plethora of long sit down meals would slow down progress. With seasoned WDW adult travelers its worked out great for us as we have gotten some really stupendous meals that we probably would not have shelled out the cash for out of our own pocket if it weren't included in the plan. When I used this plan in January of 2003 several of the restaurants (Prime Time, Brown Derby & Teppanyaki) all offered a lobster tail with any entree to us just for having this plan. Not sure if it was a promotional test or what but we sure ate a LOT of lobster that trip which is a treat we rarely get in New Orleans. When we use this plan we plan our meals so that we always get the full value from the Magical Wishes.
Silver Plan: Getting the Best Use Out of Your "Magical Wishes"
The Silver Plan costs $68/night for adults and juniors (ages 10 and up) and $35/night for children (3-9). Each person gets 2 "Magical Wishes" per night, which can be used for a variety of meals and entertainment options.
However, all of the "Magical Wishes" for everyone in your party are "pooled," so each individual doesn't have to use up his or her own wishes. For instance, if you have a family of 4 and stay for 5 nights, you'll have a "pool" of 40 wishes to use. So if you have kids included in your package, you may want to think about the value of your wishes based on the average price overall. In this example, if you had 2 adults and 2 kids for 5 nights, the cost is $68 + $68 + $35 + $35 x 5 nights = $1030, divided by 40 wishes, for an average of $25.75 per wish.
Generally speaking, it's not a good use of wishes to "spend" them on meals or admissions for kids. Even though you're paying less for the kids' wishes, the value of kids' meals and admissions is a lot lower than those for adults. So try to use the wishes for the adult meals and admissions. At meals, just tell your server what you're doing.
Also, you can use your "Magical Wishes" whenever you want during the vacation. If you have 16 wishes and you want to use them all the first day, you can do that! Just be sure to use them all up, because they expire at midnight on the day you check out of your hotel.
In any case, make sure you get the full value out of those wishes! High-value choices for the "Magical Wishes" are:
Dinner shows (Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and Polynesian Spirit of Aloha) - Value for an adult is $49.01.
Dinners at full-service restaurants - Visit www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm to see menu prices. Your wishes include 6.5% tax and gratuity, so be sure to calculate that when evaluating the value. Some restaurants require 2 wishes per person but may still be a decent value, depending on what you order.
Cirque du Soleil La Nouba tickets - you have to use two wishes per ticket, but a Category 1 (best location) ticket is valued at $87.33 for an adult.
Spa treatments - You only get "selected" treatments with your wishes, but you'll still come out ahead, since treatments start at about $45.
Golf - Non-peak season greens fee for 18 holes is $94; peak season (takes 2 wishes) greens fee is $139. A 30-minute private golf lesson costs $50. The equipment rental package is worth at least $53. 9 holes at Oak Trail, with the greens fee and included extras, is valued at about $59.
Parasailing - Value $85.
Fishing excursion - takes two wishes, but valued at $160.
Children's Activity Centers - Value up to $60 ($10 per hour and you get up to 6 hours).
Certain Tours - Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom, and Gardens of the World, Hidden Treasures of World Showcase, and UnDISCOVERed Future World Tours at Epcot are valued at $49-$59.
Great information Stinkerbelle, thanks for sharing. I'll have to evaluate how this would/could work into our next trip!
