1st SWAN stay..WOW!!!

We have been dvc members since 1994 and stay usually at OKW (once each at BCV and BWV), so we didn't really know what to expect at the Swan. We rented points to another dvc member and stayed at Swan for convenience of location for NYE at MGM. YML (Jean) got us great teacher's rate for club level. Everyone was amazing at this resort! From the front desk to the amazing concierge staff to housekeeping! Food offerings each day were wonderful for breakfast and evening hor' heuvres. We really appreciated the convenience. The room was beautiful and we were able to see fireworks for Epcot ant MGM from our room! DS missed the second TV of DVC( I needed my fix of football!). We also enjoyed usuing the 20% discount at Dolphin for Ice Cream Fountain and new FRESH restaurants(Blue Zoo menu looked great, but didn' have a chance to eat there. I'll do a trip report later. I did not fell like I missed any MAGIC by staying at the Swan..I highly recommend it!

I agree, Connears. I love the Swan, too. I also love being picked up first and dropped off first on the bus loop around the Epcot Resorts. Glad to hear the new Fresh restaurant is so good. One more reason to enjoy that resort when you can get an amazing discount to go along with a superb location.

Glad to hear you enjoyed Swan, Connears. I have long been of the opinion that Swan & Dolphin have a unique magic all thier own.

When I stayed at Swan, I wasn't on club level, just a regular room on the 4th floor, which isn't high enough to see over the Boardwalk buildigns to Epcot. What floor were you on?

We were on 11th floor. We faced the drive up entrance, but still had a great view of Epcot fireworks and super one for MGM.

Does Swan have Package Delivery? I have the new Passporter & it says in one sentence they have Package Delivery & in another that this is one perk not available.

No there is no package delivery and no charging on room key except at swan or dolphin. I did not mind not having that perk.

I did get package delivery to the Dolphin last year, but just a bit differently. Packages are delivered to the gift shop, but you do not get any notice that they have arrived. I would suggest checking about this when you arrive. Policies do change all the time.

We enjoyed Fresh, although it was confusing a bit. We went for lunch and they told us it was a buffet. The chefs at the hot food prep were great explaining what they had-omlettes, waffles(plain and blueberry), grilled pork tenderloin. roast chicken and some fish(not sure). What was confusing was the salad/ deli area. I thought the deli was just sandwiches and missed the salad and antipasta stuff. ; soups were very good Corn chowder and spring vegetable; many bread choices and many desserts. Servers were attentive and it was nice having the dvc 20%. I would definitley go back..especially to see additions for dinner.
