I've been a member since our first WDW trip - back when it was free from certain employers and/or groups (like credit unions)... :(
Today is the final day of the Disney Club, and a end of an era. I'm sad to see it go, and wonder if Disney plans to implement something other than the Disney Visa (with it very limited distribution and perks!)
I also wonder if the Disney Club 800 number will be disconnected, or offered to some other 'group'? With all the complaints about CMs being slow when making reservations lately, I don't WANT to pay for 30 - 60 minute calls just to make a few PS's!
Anyone else going to miss the Club?

Oh, and if you are still a member you can call 1-800-333-8734 extention 6006 (they ask the extention number to get the discounted price) to get the Disney Magazine for $9.95 for 2 years (75% off cover price).
Just called, so I know its still working! :)
Tagrel, we too were always members of the Disney Club. Growing up in Southern California it was almost a requirement. And that was when it was a free membership based on where you worked or a Credit Union. I am going to miss it a bunch, as we always used them for discounts for tickets and merchandise when we were there. Like you, I hope they come out with some kind of a replacement for the club, but am not holding my breath. As for making PSs, I guess we'll have to use Member Services to handle that kind of thing, at least for those of us that own DVC.

Very true Joe, thats a DVC perk that I seldom used having the Disney Club. I'll just have to learn to make the PS's during the day. Seems I always get around to it at 10pm at night!
I've already started using the DVC card at the Disney Store for our 10% discount. Want to make sure that our local CMs are all trained! ;)
I'll miss the 10% discount at DisneyStore online though... :(

Just getting ready to submit an order to DisneyStore.com - get my last discount there! :D
I loved the Disney Club! and the money I saved -- the cost of membership was easily paid for by the discounts at DisneyStore!
Bring on the next big thing - I eagerly await to see if Disney will contiune to reward loyality or if that is truely a thing of the past!

Boy, do I miss the old Magic Kingdom Club! When MKC was cancelled in favor of the Disney Club, I was heartbroken. DC cost money, whereas MKC was free for me thanks to my credit union. MKC also had more and deeper discounts than DC.
DC did have some good discounts and bennefits, but I didn't bother renewing when my membership expired last year, so when it was cancelled I wound up with nothing. Those of you on the last little bit of extension have been living on borrowed time, as it were. I mourned the end of DC over a year ago and have been paying full price for park passes and merchandise ever since.
Disney Visa cardholders get a few perks, and I think that's all Disney wants to give out these days, but if enough people complain, maybe DC or MKC or something similar will re-appear. I know I'd love to have a new version of MKC show up at my credit union next month!

Just had to use my Disney Club Card one last time. I bought my 1 yr old niece a huge stuffed Minnie decked out in Christmas attire. It started out 49.50 & with all the discounts ended up costing $11.00. I have gotten good use out of the Disney Club Card but have never really gotten over the loss of the free Magic Kingdom Club Card. I too hope Disney has something in mind other than the Disney Visa but not holding my breath.
