I have 200 points at BWV and would MUCH prefer to own at OKW. If I could locate someone with 200 points at OKW, can a trade be done or do you have to sell and then buy?
Susan, I don't know of any 'rules' that say you couldn't trade with another member. There would, of course, be some closing fees that would have to be handled, but I would think that would be all. I think I would hanldle it by finding someone willing to trade, then get hold of one of the brokers and tell them for x fee plus costs, you want them to handle the transfer. That way they are getting paid for their time, the paperwork gets done by a pro, and everyone sleeps better at night.
JMHO, your mileage may vary.....
Good luck

At the very least you'd have to go through 2 closings (so selling and buying). And there is Disney's right of refusal which must work into the equation somehow...)
I don't know how much this would cost, but if you shared the same lawyer, it might help.
I've heard of the TUG board : http://www.tug2.net that provides a place for people to list their timeshares, and/or find interested parties. I've never really explored it or checked it out at all, but I've read where others have... Might be more info there.
