My Co-GS leader told me last night that the company she uses as fundraising for both the HS Marching Band and the local children's choir sells "Disney Script". Has anyone heard of this before and what is it if you have? I gave her $20 to buy some for me to check it out! If it'll help out a local organization I'd way rather buy my Disney Dollars that way- as long as they are Disney Dollars.(organizations sell gift cards for face value but buy them from the parent companies for a percentage off which the organization gets to keep as a fund raiser- in case you don't have script programs near you)
I'll let you know what I get when she delivers them!

My son goes to private school and they use "scrip" as a fundraiser. Every month I get the opportunity to order gift certificates from various merchants. Each retailer offers a percentage (differs per retailer) as a "donation" to the organization. For example, if you order a $25 gift cert from Barnes and Noble, you will get a $25 cert and my son gets 9% of that ($2.25) toward his tuition.
The details from our scrip site (www.glscrip.com (http://www.glscrip.com)) for Disney are:
Disney Gift Card$25/$100/$10007%Redeemable at all Disney locations, including the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort in Florida or the DisneylandŽ Resort in California. Can not be used at Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort. The Disney Gift Card can also be used to purchase complete vacation packages or select elements, including hotel stays, theme park admission, recreation, tours, merchandise and dining. Also redeemable for Disney Cruise LineŽ vacation packages and for payment toward on-board charges. May not be used for group travel or towards payment for group folios. The Disney Gift Card can also be used for purchases at over 300 Disney Store locations in the U.S. and online at DisneyShopping.com. For more details, please visit www.disneygiftcard.com (http://www.disneygiftcard.com).
I must thank you for pointing this out. There are so many retailers listed that I never noticed this one!!!!!!! :mickeyHalloween:

I've bought script from my friend's kids in the past. I'd then go use for script for most of my Christmas shopping.
They are probably the best deal when it comes to school fundraisers because you can then use the script to buy whatever you want.

We have a script program at our church- I buy from them regularly (for gas cards, restraunt, and some for other stores as well) but we've never had Disney offered before. Some of the script is paper others is plastic gift cards. I was just hoping I'd found an outlet for my Disney Dollars instead of buying them at the Disney Store- which I have no other use for since none of my kids are little anymore and they never have anything worthwhile for adults.
