Wow! I'm doing single digit dance! Arrive at WDW 12/27(one night at DD hotel) then check-in Swan club level 12/28! New Year's with Mickey and I can't wait!

Are you going to chicken out again if it rains? Hopefully that won't be a repeat performance again this year! Although with the downpours there was not much competition for a good spot for Illuminations.

ll be in EPCOT this year only if rain is not predicted. I'm hoping for an absolutely beautiful DAY like it was last year and a beautiful NIGHT UNLIKE last year.

Pixie ,we are driving from Boston(Natick). Have done it a million times..we have been dvc members since 1994 and have made many a journey!

Wow -- you are so lucky to be spending the New Year at WDW! Have a wonderful time, and I hope you have great weather. We have never been to the World over the Christmas holidays. Must try it one of these days.

Connears, we are driving from the North Shore and also have made many a journey. Do you stop or drive through? We try to make Florence and that gets us to Universal or WDW around noon. Have a safe trip!

We have 2 driving plans. In warmer times, we ususally drive until NC/VA border and sleep for a bit in rest area. Next morning I drive while DH sleeps then we stop for breakfast. We then stop around Jacksonville for a good meal and hotel for the night. Next day arrive at WDW by 1pm. In winter, we stop twice. You are much braver than us! We travel with our DS who is now 13 and has dvd and playstation to amuse him.

Way to go Connears!!!! This was our first year seeing the Christmas decorations. Maybe next year or the year after we can stay for New Year's Eve.

Have a DISNEYTASTIC time and be careful driving.

(used to drive straight thru from NY and this year broke it up into two days from PA with me doing all the driving).
