What can you all tell me about Coronado Springs? I've picked this resort for our Spring Break trip. However, if AP rates come out, I'll be going with the WL.

I wanted to stay in a moderate this time, because we will likely have more "pool time". I've tried CBR and wasn't impressed. And POR is not my hubby's "cup of tea".

I'm hoping this will be a good comprimise. Plus, I want to try every resort on site at some point.

It's really nice, has the feel of a deluxe with a very upscale restaurant and the amenities in the room. You get an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and coffeemaker. It is convenient, just down the road from the Epcot Resorts and also near Animal Kingdom and MGM. We loved the set up of the Pepper Market food court. Many do not, but it was nice for us. The Dig Site was very cool in the pool department. It is best if you have a car with you as all distances to the main area are a good walk. Cabanas 9B would be the best lazy location. Also there is limited room service, another feature not found in the other moderates. I would stay there again in a flash.

I love CSR. It is my favorite moderate! Most people prefer the Cabanas for the location but I prefer Casitas for the ambience. Casitas 4 is close to a bus stop, has a quiet pool, the spa is right there and is not a far walk to the main building/restaurant. And honestly I never thought that the walk to the main pool was really that bad - if you really wanted you could hop any bus to get closer to the pool, but I think the walk is easier. I really love the giant hot tub too, even though on our first trip there is was a giant cool tub. It was the 1st month it was open and the heat was broken.

Your kids will love the pool. It has a decent size slide and a little playground right by the pool.

Also if you enjoy the hamock thing there are some over near the beachy area near the cabanas.

Cheri,

Coronado Springs is my family's favorite moderate resort. We really loved it there. Like Moley we also enjoyed the Pepper Market, and enjoyed everything we ate there. And I agree with Rosebud, in feeling the Casitas are gorgeous, and has quite a nice ambience to it. We stayed at Cabanas (and I'll have to check on the number) but it was steps away from the Dig site, which was very important to my boys. If you stay there, take advantage of the HUGE Hot tube. It was wonderful. We also had alot of fun on the surrey bikes and water sprites there.

CSR is my family's favorite moderate (although we haven't stayed at Port Orleans). The bus service is very efficient. I love the Pepper Market (each of us can have what we want without waiting in 3 different payout lines). The area is beautiful. You will enjoy your stay there (of course, you'd enjoy WL as well -- choices are wonderful things).

Have a blast.

Our favorite moderate too! Your children will LOVE this pool. I think it has the best bus system, even better than the deluxe resorts. They also make a stop at the Boardwalk in the late afternoon and evenings. Great for going over there to dine or walk around. We will definately stay there again. I really didn't find the walk around the resort that bad. It's actually nice in the evening to see the moon reflecting off the lake and you can dine outside near the lakeside when you get take out from the Pepper Market. We never felt it was a convention center. Very nice!

I know I aleady posted to this, but once I saw Perla's post, i wanted to add I agree with everything Perla said. I thought the nightime atmosphere was one of the best, with the moonlight and the lights. Ahh, I wish I was there right now! And we also NEVEr felt like it was a convention center and there was a convention goin on while we were there. Cheri, I really think you'll enjoy this resort.

Cheri,

The Dig site pool is great and will surely be a big hit with the kiddos!
Cabana 9B is closest to the dig site pool and nice if you want to be down at the pool late at night and don't want to have a long walk back to your room.

Thanks everybody. Melissa at YMJ got us a great rate at CSR and after looking at the pictures on Deb Will's site, I can't wait to be there. My kids think the pool looks "too cool" and they can't wait to try out that slide with the cougar standing over it! It'll be here before we know it! :minnie:
