I was finally able to get a few nighttime shots of the castle that I liked. Took these during MVMCP, and finished up during Wishes. LOVED the new fireworks show!! Don't miss it on your next trip! :)

Tagrel, those shots are AMAZING! I love the snowflakes projected on the Castle. I hope they're still there when we visit. I'm getting psyched up now!

Beautiful pictures, Dave! I loved the new fireworks show, too--in fact we watched it 5 times--three were from our hotel room which had a terrific view. Once from the bridge right before the partners statue--a PERFECT place because (spoiler coming) some of them go off all around you! And one from the Presidential suite at the Contemporary (thank you Ahnalira!). They used some kinds of fireworks we had never seen before, and oh, MAN! are they gorgeous!
Dave, be sure to post those in the Gallery, too, so we don't have to go looking through all the messages to relive these memories!

Those pictures are gorgeous. You are making me so anxious to return to see the castle in person. I must say, having a little baby this month will be well worth giving up our trip, but it will be even more special next year with him. I just love to look at castle pictures...and look, and look some more...

Wow is right! May I ask whether you used a digital camera? I haven't been able to get good night pictures of the castle with my digital but have a few decent ones with the 35mm. I can't wait for next month!!!!

Gloria - I use a digital Camera. Its a Minolta DiMage 5. What I did different this time around was to lower the exposure time. It seemed to really help clear up most of my 'shaky hand' blurred pictures. Unless I have a tripod, I've always blurred these low light shots in the past. I took about 15 shots of the castle before the fireworks started in order to play with the settings and optimize. Gotta love that about a digital camera! :)
