Well, I'm in Florida!
After leaving work early, I flew in Thursday night, went to Downtown Disney for a few minutes then checked into my hotel.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Friday, I spent the morning at MK (Mickey's Philharmagic is a fantastic new addition to MK, a must-see for everyone!) Later, I hopped over to Ft. Wilderness to Begin at the End, our first official Taginator meet. I lost count of how many people showed up, but it must have been near 35. We had a blast eating in the restaurant, then moved out to the front porch at 3pm, where a huge cheer went up from the crowd when Tagrel himself unexpectedly showed up! Again, we had a blast standing around talking, till it became time to move to the Contemporary for the next meet, Tag Along with Tagrel.
A smaller group of us tagged along, exploring the Christmas decorations at each of the monorail resorts, before breaking up again at Grand Floridian.
Thanks to Stinkerbelle, who generously gave me her extra ticket, I was able to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Friday night. I spent some time hanging out with Jimbolini1963, and most of the rest of the night hanging out with MargaretJ and her son Matt. At 10pm, we made our way to Main Street to see the new MK fireworks show, Wishes. Wishes is the best Disney fireworks show EVER.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday, I went to Epcot and met up with the Taginators again for the Meet Formerly Known as Drag Cheri Onto Mission: Space. LimeGreenCheri was unfortunately ill that morning, so she not only couldn't go on MS, but she wound up spending the day back at her resort. The rest of us, however, had a great time on MS.
After MS, some of us went to Electric Umbrella for lunch, then to Beaches and Cream for another mini-meet.
At 1pm, we made our way to the Dolphin and attended the MouseFest MegaMouse Meet. We met authors and webmasters, including Deb Wills, Jennifer Watson and Dave Marx, Ahnalira Koan and Alan Moore, and Bob Sehlinger. And those are just the ones I spent time with, there were plenty more! Unfortunately, Mary Waring of MouseSavers hurt her knee recently and was unable to attend, but sent some other MouseSavers in her place.
At 3pm, about 50 of us went outside for a great big photo which will eventually become the cover of next year's Passporter. Then I spent some time with one of my Passporter friends having a snack at the Dolphin Fountain, then went back into Epcot and hot a few attractions on my own.
It was freezing Saturday night, and by 7:30 I was stiff and sore from the temps and exhausted, so I changed my plan to see Illuminations and went back to my hotel.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, I got up early and attended the Stop Drop and Roll meet at MGM. After ToT, Alicia ran an excellent trivia game with some terrific prizes, then a bunch of us got breakfast at Starring Rolls bakery, went to see the Haunted Mansion sets, saw WWTBAM (I came in second on one round and first on the last round and would have been in the hot seat if it hadn't been the last round). Then we rode Star Tours and the group split up.
I got lunch at the ABC Commissary, saw Muppetvision 3D, and nearly fell asleep during the show, so I figured it was time for a nap and came back to my hotel.
Which is where I am now. Okay, nap time, then Pleasure Island tonight.
Back online in a few days.
