What's your favorite Moderate hotel and why? DH and I have been to all but CSR. Our hearts our fond of CBR (we stayed there on our honeymoon), but really enjoyed POFQ.

What are your thoughts on CSR?

Do you have a favorite Mod that you recommend to others?

Suzy,

We spent part of our trip last summer at CSR and my family absolutely loved it. It is our favorite moderate. I know there are others here who didn't care for it much, but it hit big for my family.

Our first trip was to CBR, and I have never stayed at PO , but my Parents stayed at POFQ and they loved it there.

My boys are 9 and almsot 12 years old and if they are happy, Mom is happy.

We requested the Cabanas, so we could be close to the pool and our room was about 20 steps away. It was not bad to get to the Pepper Market either. We rented the Sprites and Surrey Bikes and had a blast. The atmosphere at night was perfect.

Our room was very clean, a little bright, but it went with the theming of the resort. We ahd plenty of room for the four of us, and my kids complained when we had to leave.

My family also loved the Pepper Market. I was aware of the set up and it was not a problem for us. We found the food servings to be huge, and we loved everything we ordered.

When it comes to vacation, my family is very easy to please. It is our time to step out of the real world and enjoy being together as a family. My boys are already asking if they can go back to CSR.

We just stayed at Coronado Springs two weeks ago. Now that Port Orleans French Quarter is in limbo, CSR is our favorite. :D

Why? It has many deluxe amenities since it is a convention resort. I love the Pepper Market's set up, very efficient yet relaxing. We loved the Dig Site pool. We really appreciated having a coffee maker, a hair dryer and an iron/board in the room, too.

We also think it is nicely located, very convenient drive to Blizzard Beach, Animal Kingdom, MGM and Epcot. I also think their gift shop is marvelous, lots of nice clothing selections. At an AP rate of 88.90 per night which included tax, it was a super bargain.

When it reopens and if I can get the budget together I'll do the French Quarter, my favorite moderate. I have a problem walking so I like it for it's compactness, it's attractive landscaping and ferry to DTD. I only wish Bonfamilies will reopen with the resort when FQ's rehab is done. Untill then my next favorite moderate is the Carribean Beach if I can get into either Trinidad North or Martinique because of their short walk to OPR.

Well POFQ is my favorite moderate. I just love the theming there. I haven't stayed at CSR but have been to conferences over there and in the rooms. I love CSR to walk around. Whenever there is a session that I have seen all the speakers (I have to attend the conference with students and the speakers don't usually change to often), I walk around the resort to get out and get some air. It is truly a beautiful resort. I don't mind a resort being spread out. Have stayed at CBR in the past and also like it there. I don't find it as beautiful as CSR and it is showing its age a little, but I love its location. It is usually my parents second choice after POFQ. However, with PC right next door now, I am not sure they will like it as much...more noise and traffic down the side road.

I am a POFQ lover. I like everything feeling small. Love the boat to DTD too. Have stayed at CSR twice. Very pretty resort, but I am one that doesn't like the setup of the foodcourt. Like the food though. Also like the pool area. Room assignment really makes or breaks the stay for mr though.

CSR is my favorite. I however like the Casitas more than the Cabanas. Most people prefer the Cabanas for the location, but I like the area/look of the Casitas better and don't find the location too bad. The Ranchos section does not appeal to me at all - don't like the look or the distance.

I've only eaten breakfast at the Peppermarket and when it first opened (about a month old) the food was the best. At that time they didn't add an automatic tip on either.

Love that huge hot tub too! And the whole pool area with slide.

There is also a beach area with hammocks which we sometimes like to relax on, but those are over near the Cabana section.

The problem I have run into though is that often when I have had the money for a moderate most of the time they haven't included CSR in the deal. Sometimes they do but not always.

I've heard some people say they have had problems with crowds from conventions but I've really never had a problem with that. In fact I only remember one time actually seeing convention people and that is when they were checking in at a table near the Peppermarket. I've actually run into many more convention people at the Contemporary - although not a problem there either, just seen more of them.

My feeling has changed on this since my last trip in May/June. I used to love CSR so much & will probably still stay there again if the price is right. Our last trip we had 2 rooms in Rancho Section (way too far away) & both of our rooms had very dirty bathrooms. I usually liked the Pepper Market too but had disappointing food & service this trip also. Usually my experience has been very positive at CSR. Love the bus service, the pool & usually the restaurant.

Now I have gone back to POR as my favorite. I love the Mansion Side especially, they are so pretty. This resort has beautiful grounds & the boat to Downtown Disney is an added plus. The Food Court is a nice size with lots of selections. They have a nice themed pool & 4 quiet pools. PO-FQ is very nice also but my son outgrew their pool years ago. The slide is very short.

CBR is my least favorite. It is so big & spread out & has I believe something like 7 bus stops. The check-in area is in a detached building which makes it very inconvenient if you need to go to front desk during your stay. The themed pool is very neat looking but very small for a resort of this size. You do have the quiet pools in each area though. The Food Court has been redone so I think that is a plus & the rooms have been refurbished.
