I shop in my local Dollar Tree all the time, and every so often I see something that would work great for a trip to WDW.

Last week I picked up a tube with short glow-ropes of various colors and plastic connectors to make them into necklaces. Instead of paying $10 for these things at WDW, why not pay $1 for them at home and hide them from the kids till they start clamoring for them?

On long drives, the kids may enjoy coloring books. My dollar store often has Disney-themed or Pooh-themed coloring books and crayons. Some of the smaller books are 2 for $1.

I recently saw a nice Harry Potter-themed kid's journal, with lined pages that look like parchment and the 4 Hogwarts house shields on the cover. What could be better for a Harry Potter fan to use as a daily trip journal?

The dollar store almost always has rain ponchos for $1. They're not quite as heavy as the Disney Mickey ponchos, but when you can get 6 of them for the same price as one Mickey ponch, it still works out to be a bargain.

Keep you reyes open at your local dollar store for bargain stuff that you can use on your WDW trip!

Doncha just love the Dollar Store?? Mine has the ponchos 2/$1 so I get 12 for the price of one. Plus, these are small enough to fit in a pocket, just in case. I always have a few in my car, just in case.

Ya gotta love the Dollar Store and Dollar Tree also- I find great stuff there all the time. I especially like the shower "pouffs" 3 for a dollar for Disney trips, and the $1.00 bottle of Sun laundry soap.

It's surprising the deals the Dollar stores have. That and Big Lots are 2 of my faves.

I love those 2 for $1 rain ponchos at Dollar Tree! I took the advice of someone here (sorry don't remember who) and when we use them and take them off we throw them away. No need to fold up a wet poncho. We don't wear the ponchos that often since we prefer umbrellas, but for those times we use the ponchos it is so much nicer to throw the wet thing away.
