Where will you be dining during your next trip?

When my girlfriends and I started planning this trip, we all agreed that we didn't have to do a lot of sit down meals, but it's turned out that we have at least one per day. I think during the planning process the lure of the Disney restaurants was just too much. :eat:

Here are the sit down restaurants we'll be enjoying...

House of Blues
Liberty Tree Tavern
Le Cellier
Boma
Mama Melrose's
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Kona Cafe

What's on your plate? :D

Oh, my favorite kind of question - food related! :eat:

I usually try to do one sit down meal and one counter service per day per trip. I am not a breakfast eater in general so I don't even factor that in most of the time unless I am going to a character brekkie or something. The next trip is a short one, but here are the places where we are chowing down:

Day 1:
Lunch - Allstars Foodcourt or Downtown Disney McDonald's
Dinner - O'Hanna  (#1 All time absolute fave Disney Dining place and a must have on every trip!)

Day 2:
Lunch - Coral Reef :ariel: Never eaten here & really have no desire to do so but it was the 1 request my travelling companion had so I caved.
Dinner - Tangerine Cafe (never been here either -always go to Marrakesh instead - but am very excited to try this counter service after all the good things folks here have said about it. )

Day 3:
Lunch - Sci-Fi Drive In Never been here before either but after 3x at Prime Time, 3x at Brown Derby and 3x at Hollywood & Vine I am ready to try something new at MGM
Dinner: Undecided. I have yet to find a counter service meal at MGM that I can choke down. Will probably have either popcorn  & a diet coke for dinner or a watermelon granita and rice krispies treat while I watch Fantasmic. May give Pizza Planet a try if I am feeling adventuresome, but I doubt it.

Day 4:
Brunch - Kona Cafe I have the PS for this but its not definate. As much as I want to try the Tonga Toast I don't see myself leaving the Magic Kingdom on my last day just to get something to eat. Its more likely that I'll have a Dole Whip for brekkie and stay in the park.
Lunch: Columbia Harbour House - Garden Galley Salad, here I come!
Dinner: El Pirate y Piretta (sp?) - never tried the food here but stopped for soft drinks in January and for counter service it looked incredible. Defiantely willing to try.

Unfortunately there is no day five as originally planned so upon my return it will be back to Weight Watchers....point, point, point... :treadmill: :treadmill: :treadmill:

I'll be the pathetic sole sitting in front of her computer eating leftovers waiting for updates about all the fun you all are having.

Ah food - one of my best subjects!

Since we waited so long for this trip and since I paid for 3/4 of it so far, and since we are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary while there, we are having one sit down meal a day.

Boma (to see AKL and decorations)
MamaMelrose (lunch)
Kona (To see Poly decorations)
Le Cellier/Garden Grill (same day for rehitchin' ceremony)
Citricos (as our anniversary treat and see GF decorations)
Ft. Wilderness (12/5 meet)
Whispering Canyon (breakfast)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Liberty Tree Tavern (MVMCP night)

Now all I have left to do is sell off the furniture to pay for meals while at DW!!!
:eat: :burger:  :lolly: :confused2:

Since this was such a last minute & budget trip we really don't have plans for meals yet other than the Trails End meet. We may try to get one sit down meal at LeCellier or Teppanyaki if time & buget permits.

Planning food is one of my favorite parts of any trip. Here's the scheduled meals so far:

*indicates this is a first time dining experience

12/4 Dinner at Ohana*

12/5 Breakfast at Kona*, dinner at Luau

12/6 Brunch at Whispering Canyon*, dinner at Cape May

12/9 Afternoon tea at GF Tea Room*

12/10 Dinner at San Angel Inn

12/11 Hoop De Doo Revue

The other meals will be whatever strikes our fancy. Most mornings we'll have cereal in the room instead of going out. Ordinarily I only schedule one sit down meal a day but since we're only spending two nights at the Poly I wanted to try both their resturants and also squeeze in a trip to WL while we're there at the beginning of our trip.

Yummy! All y'all's meal plans are making me hungry. :eat: It looks like a lot of us will be doing LTT prior to MVMCP! :D

I'm very envious of those of you who are trying Beaches and Cream. Love that place!

Stinkerbelle, Garden Galley salad is a must for me too. Gotta have it!

cshore, you don't like French pasteries just a little bit do you?

Happy planning, everyone! I agree that it is half the fun. :D

Well, we ate here last week:
expensive:
Boma - Dinner (great, as usual)
Flying Fish - Dinner, adults (first time, wonderful, not planned ahead of tiime)
Citricos - Dinner, adults (as good as last time, loved it)

moderate:
Big River - lunch/dinner (adequate, dh loves one of the beers here)
Teppanyaki - late lunch for dinner (decent enough, and the kids actually eat protein that isn't deep-fried and veggies to boot)
Spoodles - breakfast (disappointing, really wish we had tried Fresh instead)

cheap:
Peco Bill - lunch ($10 for double burger, fries extra bun and 1 soda)
Tomorrowland - 1 huge hotdog and 1 smoothie ($7)
Hurrican Hannah - lunch (for 2, $12)
Beaches and Cream - no way Jose, 4 spoons ($7.50)
Pizza at MGM for kids before seeing Fantasmic!

All other meals were in the villa or brought with us. We were there 8 whole days, so that was a good deal of not eating out. Got the kids very $$ muffins twice too. We'd rather eat out at more $$ places less frequently. Also, much easier on the waistline

Next trip, these are on the "must-do" list:
Boma on a Tues or Fri
Jiko
California Grill
Kona or Brown Derby for lunch
a character meal somewhere

What is Garden Galley salad?

We have WAY TOO MANY FOOD STOPS this trip! Normally, DH and I eat at (maybe) two sit-down restaurants in the WHOLE trip. This time, because my skinny sister LOVES TO EAT, we have a ton of dining plans. Here is a glimpse (watch out - just thinking about this much food could make you feel a bit queasy. And if thinking about the food doesn't do it for ya, just think about the bill . . . .for FOOD!) :burger: :burger:
:burger:

Liberty Tree Tavern
Restaurant Marrakesh
Columbia Harbor House
'Ohana
Boma
Beaches & Cream
Prime Time Cafe
Biergarten
Trails End Buffeteria
Whispering Canyon
Tusker House
Teppanyaki
(This list doesn't include all the walk-ups that we are stopping at for breakfast!)

Well, we haven't planned to many meals out because we're staying at BCV's. We'll do 90% of breakfast in the room, some lunches and maybe one or two dinner in. What we currently have PS' for are: Le Ceiler on 12/14 for dinner with CP
Liberty Tree tavern on 12/16 for dinner before MVMCP
O'Hanna one night and would like to try Emeril's for lunch one day.
They all sound great - see you soon.

Since our next trip is in July I have lots of time to think this one through. We sill be going with BIL/SIL and their 4 kids (ages 5-17) I will recommend: either Sci-Fi or Prime Time at MGM, Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill, Germany (good Lutherans gotta have brats) or counter at Epcot- and lunch in the castle- I think even the "big" boys will find it incredible to eat in the castle and being referred to as the Royal Meyer Family will be foun for them. As you can tell at the WDW prices I try not to be to adventuresome. Since we will probably be at the Cabins at Ft Wilderness- I also vote for the Trails End.

I'm not sure when we are going again but it will be sometime within the next 1-2 years (way too far away :( ), but I aleady know some places I want to try: Hoop De Doo, Park Fare, O'Hana, Chef Mickey's and Storybook Princess Breakfast (not sure DS will go for this). We will probably go back to San Angel and Donald's Breakfastaurus again. We will probably be going with just our immediate family next time which will leave all the planning to me. DH doesn't really get into planning and will pretty much go with whatever I decide.

One of these three is on my list for the next trip: prime time, sci fi, or brown derby. Probably PT or SF.. DH doens't care so much for BD.
