We're thinking of taking a Cruise on the Disney Wonder - any tips suggestions - heads up etc. - thanks!

Just be prepared to love it. I had such an amazing time, the only bad thing was it just wasn't long enough. Next time I want to do the 7-night eastern caribbean 8) The food was truly amazing which I know will be important to you and your family.

I've not been cruising but everyone I know who's gone on a Disney cruise sounds just like Linnie, reporting that even the 4-night cruise seemed way too short.
The only contribution I have is that the PassPorter folks have just published a Disney Cruise guidebook, which you may find helpful.
Have fun investigating this idea!

Book ASAP to get good early booking discounts, try to go on at least a week long cruise and make ressies at Palo's! The Chocolate souffle looked incredible(can you believe I actually stuck to my diet).
The cruise will be great for you since you are one of these people that don't need sleep.
Oh, and don't forget to participate in Kaoroke night!

Yeah...you're one to talk Susan...I don't recall hearing you sing during kareoke night! :wink: And Ms. Linnie - we definitely missed seeing your beautiful face in Wavebands at night!
Seriously, though Shell...the Wonder is a gorgeous ship and the crew is outstanding. I had such a blast on both the cruises I went on. Having done both the 3 and 4 night, I'd recommend the 4-night. It just gives you that little bit of extra time to enjoy all that the ship has to offer. You will enjoy the food, I think, as well as the excellent service. The staterooms are very spacious for a cruise ship, at least when I compare the square footage of DCL to other ships. They are also really well designed with excellent storage space. They do have limited electrical outlets however. The nightlife is fun - the Cruise Staff does a great job spreading the party spirit. After the theme parties (70s night, kareoke, match your mate, 80s night, 50s/60s night) its lovely to spend some quiet time with martinis in the Cadillac Lounge.

We went on a 3-day cruise last November and it was waaay tooo short. We'll be sure to do the 7-day next. And Susan is right—make your Palo reservations as soon as you get on board. It's a MUST to eat at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Hi, we're going on the Wonder for our very first cruise in May. We'll be part of the Disney Classic Convention. Am looking forward to it! Anyone else going? May 15th to 20th. Sandie

My biggest tip is, DON'T EXPECT TO STICK TO A DIET! The food aboard the DCL ships is so fantastic, and there is so much of it, available 24 hours a day, and all included with the cruise pricetag, that it would be a crime not to try as much as you can. I stuffed myself insensible (though some would call that redundant in my case) at each meal and was sorely dissapointed that I didn't have room for more!

Can you believe I actually lost 2.5 lbs while on the 3 day cruise? Of course I did tons of walking and went to the fitness center too.
But now I look back and think why didn't I enjoy that food I paid for, so have planned another cruise March of 2004. I'm going to fast before the cruise this time!

Esmerelda was soooo good on the cruise in February...she made me feel terribly guilty for enjoying my meals so much while she was sticking to her diet.
Check out what she had for dessert....(hopefully this'll work)
