OK, so the last post got me thinking . . . (a little scary when I start doing THAT) ;)

What are your opinions on Whispering Canyon for dinner?

We have a PS for their Christmas dinner which will include turkey, salmon, roast, potatoes, and all the fixin's. I am just wondering if it will be tasty or not. We are having dinner with friends and figured that we'd eat there since we are staying at WL.

What is your experience?

If you're looking for the experience of Whispering Canyon as it usually is, you most likely won't get it if you go for a holiday dinner, though there may be some of the shenanigans they do.

We went a few years back for Thanksgiving day dinner and it was a more 'normal' type of atmosphere than Whispering Canyon usually is (I've been there a couple of times on a 'regular' night too) The dinner was very similar to what you described and was really quite good. I'd definately put them on the list to do again on a holiday night if the situation presented itself.

You could not ask for a better holiday setting than this one looking out at the tree and fireplace. We have never had a bad meal there and have eaten there many times........See if you can get TINY as a server. He is a hoot.

That all is good news. We are actually going as all adults and it would be just fine with us if we didn't have a lot of horse-play (so-to-speak). Not that I would mind, since we all love kids, but we wouldn't miss it.

Glad to know that we will be able to see the holiday decor. We stopped by WL once, but didn't really take a good look at the restaurants.

Thanks All! (please feel free to continue with all your reviews as they may be helpful to more people planning dinners on non-holiday times). :)

Our family has eaten at WC on several different occasions. We love the food, the all you can eat skillet is great (with the exception of that nasty turkey leg, which my hubby loves). My kids love the pony races and they each got a certificate after the race. They also loved the bottomless milkshake, althought it is a little pricey.

My hubby is also one that doesn't enjoy attention being drawn to him. But, he really enjoyed this resturant and has suggested we may go back next week if we have time.
