I called today about the Holiday Sleigh rides at WL. Another item for the "never done before" trip list. Question - where exactly is the Porte Cochere departure location at WL. Everyone I initially spoke to this morning was confusing it with the FW rides and when I finally booked this afternoon I forgot to ask! I've visited WL but have never stayed there. We were planning to drive over and valet park. How long does it take from BCV?

Oooooh, sleigh rides! How fun! I wonder how they're going to do that without snow? Well, the Disney folks can do it if anyone can!

I don't know about driving time, but I do know that the porte cochere is the covered area where you drop off your car with the valet, drop off your luggage, etc.

Have never heard of this! Any more details on how to sign up, etc. Sounds like fun! :)

As to drive time, I think its less than 15 minutes by car. At least I remember it that way. Call Valet from your room at BCV and they will have your car waiting for you. That always saves a few minutes. The valet at WL will be able to tell you exactly how to get to where you need to go.

I think it may be similar to the FW carriage ride as everyone at Disney kept confusing the two (we didn't know about the FW ones either) and it must be new to all of them because the shuffle, shuffle, cough"reading from a script" was obvious. :D It's a 30 minute carriage ride - November 30 - December 30. Reservation is through 407-WDW-PLAY. It is $30 includes tax. (they take cc info and will charge if not canceled in 24hrs).

Is it a $30 person or for the sleigh? Does sound like fun. Where do you ride and what do you see?

OH BOY! Carriage/rides!!! Sounds like fun to me. Maybe we can get a ride in one night the first week of Dec. while we're there. Anyone going to be at WL from 12/l to 12/5 evenings and want to share a carriage?

And make sure you call the WDW-PLAY number. I called the DisneyClub line for info, and they knew NOTHING. They called Guest Services and even the WL, and they knew nothing! Said that it didn't exist!

WDW-PLAY operators, knew about it so the old left hand is messing with the right hand's mind again! Must be those big four fingered gloves...

We did the Sleigh Ride this past Tuesday evening, just prior to getting on the plane home.

It left from the front of the WL. You can't miss the big black horse with jingle bells on and the sleigh/carriage decorated with greens and bows.

We were driven by a big smiling cowboy from Montana, named Kelly. The ride consisted of a leisurely stroll through the woods behind WL and ended up at the stables in FW. We turned around there and headed back out the way we came. It was a little chilly, but they provided a quilt to snuggle under.

Very relaxing, not for thrill seekers!
