So can we do SeaWorld in a day? If not what would the must do's be?
We will be there in mid-Sept - more than likely go during the week.
No clue about anything in Orlando but Disney! Should hang my head in shame but not going to!;)

It usually takes us (me, DH & DD-10yrs.) 2 days to do all we want to do at Sea World. The Clide and Seamore show is my must do. (Get there early and have a blast watching the mime.) My DD loves watching the penguins, feeding the dolphins and the Shamu show. My DH loves the Dolphin show. They have made some changes since I was there in January, so I'm not aware of them.
When we were there the Silver Passport (1 year's admission) was the price of 2 days, so we bought that and will go again this December.

We've always been able to do all we wanted to in a day--but we don't do the rides. Love the shows and the penguins. I don't know if they still do it, but when we were there they would give you a guide based on when you arrived that showed a way to get to all the recommended shows. Kinda cool!

We see all we want of SeaWorld in SanAntonio in one day and the parks are almost the same! It is a long walk between things and can get really hot!

I haven't been in a few years, but we used to do it all in a day.
You do know they have a roller coaster now? :peri:
We did SeaWorld in one day also
Enjoyed all the shows, went on the simulator where the Marshmallow whales are (that's what we call 'em lol) the gift shop that you empty out into has everything you can imagine with a polar bear - hats, t-shirts, pencils, christmas ornaments, glasses, toys, paperweights - polar bears everywhere!
We stopped for awhile at the Anheiserbuch (sp?) area and took a beer class and survey - Scamp was not 21 as yet but they let him and he sat with us. You sample five or so bears and then get a pint of whichever one you like the most to sit outside and drink. You can go inside the stables and see the horses being harnessed and have your photo taken with them - when we were there you could use your own camera or pay to have them take it.
Towards the end of the park (the route we were taking) Tramp and Scamp went on Kraken (the coaster) about three times - it was a walk on - they would come off and get right back on - no line. We skipped the Atlantis (log flume type) ride and petted the dolphins before calling it a day.
Did the park - went on rides - hung out drinking beer and had a sandwich around lunchtime - did it all in a day.
Have a great time if you go - it's a fun place!

Hi BetsyAnn,
Just did Seaworld again in May.
My must sees:
Clyde & Seymore (get there early to watch the mime)
Whale Show
Pets Ahoy Show
Was not impressed by the new dolphin show; but that may just be me. Check is out and you decide.
Then I take in as many exhibits as possible. I do not do the rides.
One day for me.

I vote for two 5 hour days, with one early day (there before opening) and the second day starting a little later. The first day, I'd start to the left, at the Dolphin pool (get in line for fish, straight away) and do the manatees, dolphin show, seamore & clyde and finish at - oh let's say Shark reef. Then have lunch at Voyagers (grilled salmon and veg) and go back to the resort for a nap. Day two could start a little later because I think the right side of the park doesn't open until 10 or so. Pick up where you left off - shark reef or thereabouts, and do the Annheiser area, Shamu show, arctic exhibit and anything else on that side. Lunch at Sea Mist? Inn.

I think that SeaWorld typically has the "come back tomorrow and it is free" promotion going on, so if you have two days of your trip to spend there, I think it is nice to break it up. It is a HUGE park and while we tend to do it all in one day, it is difficult to schedule ALL the shows in (even though they have staggered starting times). It feels like a ton of walking to me but I enjoy it as the park is beautiful and spread out so it doesn't feel super crowded. The sit down restaurants are all good that we have tried. They really have done a great job getting themselves online with the Disney standards.
*smile* The Clyde and Semore show are our favorites as well. I haven't been there since they redid the dolphin show to see it, but the last time we were there the new whale baby had just been born and it was AMAZING!!!
Have fun :)

SeaWorld has been advertising two new shows which sound wonderful. The new Shamu show is called 'Believe' and the nighttime show, Mystify.
Mystify says it's ownly running through Sept 4th, but I'm guessing it's based on attendance.

Well DD and DH said the new shows are great. They have the same shows in SanAntonio! They got a great deal because of a Pepsi can. Adults for the price of a child! Saved a bunch of money :D

We didn't do rides except the lame-o virtual reality one and couldn't do everything in a day. It is hard to do because of the show schedules. Sure you could do it without seeing everything, but you would never know if the shows you skipped were the ones you would like better - everyone has different tastes.
With the deals SW offers it is usually pretty easy to get at least 2 days for the price of 1. We got a whole year for the price of 1 day last time.
With more than 1 day it gives you plenty of time to enjoy the things like the viewing exhibits and feeding the dolphins etc, and not feel like you are rushing from one show to the next.
