View Full Version : Character Breakfast choice
We are ....at this late date going to get a PS for a breakfast for our upcoming trip...and only 1, so I need some help.... We have had THE breakfast at Chef Mickey's and at Cyrstal Palace and DW preferred Chef Mickey's of those 2. The choices are ;
1) Beach Club - Cape May Cafe* as we are staying at BW.. this is a plus
2)Polynesian - 'Ohana...loved it at night for dinner, but can I stand looking at the Castle , knowing all the fun awaits while I eat ?
3)1900 Park Fare...the ambaince of the GF...will I be able to leave the beauty afterward we eat ?
HELP!

I've had the breakfast in the Cape May Cafe many times and always have a blast! The food is kept fresh and plentiful, it's a standard "American" breakfast buffet with lots of choices. The characters are Goofy, Chip, and Dale with Minnie sometimes in the front. They're all dressed for Beach fun and have a blast. One year, Goofy was trying to steal all the waitresses' aprons. We've been to this breakfast with all ages from my parents to my 9-year-old niece and everyone has had a great time! Plus you can't beat the access from the BW!

My vote would be for Cape May. We had breakfast at 1900 and, though the food was really good, we found it to be loud and crowded while we were there (as in crowded in). I love 'Ohanas, but honestly (and I worked there) breakfast just doesn't do it justice. The dinner there is FAB, but bfast is OK.
I pick Cape May because it would be great to walk over to Epcot or MGM after one of the all-you-can-eats!

Another vote for Cape May for all the aforementioned reasons (great buffet, great character interaction - how can you top Goofy in beachwear?).
We've been there a couple of times and will definitely make it one of our breakfast stops on our next trip. The Beach Club is our current favorite resort, and, if you're going to be staying there, it's so convenient. Not to mention how quick and easy it is to stroll over to EPCOT afterwards.
Yup, our forks are raised for Cape May! :eat:

Don't give up on Cinderella's Castle for breakfast. My friend who just booked a trip a couple of weeks ago was talking to a CM about her vacation and just asked him to check for a CRT for her, they were both surprised but there was one available. I've also been told by a CM that they sometimes release tables two days before, so you may get one if you call at 7 A.M. two days before the date you want.

I also put in a vote for Cape May. It is currently our favorte character breakfast (now that the Garden Grill no longer has one). The room is bright and airy, the characters were a lot of fun and the food is top notch for a buffet. You can then take a nice stroll to Epcot or MGM following breakfast. We always enjoy it there.
We have also enjoyed Donalds Character Breakfast at the Animal Kingdom. Although the food is pretty standard fare, the atmosphere is really "cool" and you have the benefit of being in the back of AK before the crowds get there. You can ride Dinosaur, Triceretop Twirl or Primeval Whirl without the HUGE lines that sometimes exist.

I aslo vote for Cape May. I am not that big of a breakfast eater, but this was exceptional. The food was great and the restaurant was a lot less hectic than some character meals. The sticky buns were to DIE for. Yum!

Brer,
We've enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Cape May many times. Along with the good food and less-hectic pace, we appreciated the excellent service there. I hope your own experience is as good!

I think I'm a minority here but I vote for Ohana's. It's one of the more fun-filled CBs I've ever gone to at WDW.

Another vote for Cape May. We always make sure we get over there for a breakfast as it is one of our absolute favourites. My second choice would be O'hana's as it is a lot of fun for the kids.

I'm not a big breakfast eater but I do like Cape May. The food is good and we've probably had the highest degree of character interaction there. I've been to 1900 Park Fare twice and wasn't really all that impressed either time. I've never been to Ohana's; I'm trying for the first time on my next trip. I think the best breakfast I've ever had at WDW was at Boma, but sadly they have no characters. My fantasy is for WDW to turn Boma into a Tarzan themed character breakfast. Awesome food and buffed up man in loincloth for entertainment - what's not to like?
