Okay, I know we've discussed this before, but I need someone to tell me I'm not crazy. I just bid on 7 meal vouchers for WDW on Ebay. They include an entree, side dish, non-alcoholic beverage and a dessert. I thought that I would be able to save some money doing it this way.
Also, the meal vouchers for the CRT, I remember reading about Lilian Vernon having these. Can I please have more information on this again???

Thanks!!!

Check out this link on The Dis. It gives great info on the Connections Vouchers.

Well, I didn't get the meal vouchers from E-bay and am I glad!!!! After reading the site that Margaret posted, they state in there that the meal vouchers on e-bay are overpriced. I am so glad that I was out-bid!!! They stated that people will purchase them from connections and then sell them on e-bay at an inflated price. I do think I will go ahead and purchase a couple breakfast vouchers and maybe 4 q&c vouchers. After everything I've read, you do save money.

There are three types of vouchers:

Breakfast: good for any sitdown breakfast including the character meals(not Swan/Dolphin) and these are 17.75

quick&casual: these are good for almost all the counter service restaurants at the parks(except some carts) and many of the food courts in resorts. Good for one entree, side, drink, dessert for 11.50

Kingdom luncheon: good for sit-down restaurants in parks/resorts but only for lunch. They are 27.75 (higher now I think).

We have used the breakfast and q&c and love them. Nice to have some meals pre-paid. CM know about them and you don't have any problems using them. They also include tax and gratuity so they are good deal in that respect.

We were connections members (yearly membership was $79.00)and always had great service from them; although others have had issues. If you join for a trial $1/one month, make sure you cancel on time or they will charge you for the year. You can buy up to 40 of each kind of voucher per year. they increased the yearly fee significantly($139/yr) so I did not rejoin. They also had great discounts on park passes at IOA, US and WDW along with Blockbuster, TOYRUS and other restaurants so we have gotten our $79! Hope this helps. We have seen people selling these vouchers for WAY over value at e-bay..I don't recommend that. Floridaorlandotickets.com and Hotwire savings now sells these at a higher price than connections but they are the same vouchers. There is no fee with Floridaornadotickets.com and Hotwire has a $1 trial monthly membership. WE DO LOVE HAVING THESE AND HAVE 6 BREAKFAST AND 12 Q& C TO USE FOR OUR 12/28-1/02 TRIP.

What they said! ;)

I cn oly add that I am grateful that you didn't get the ebay ones. I am always amazed at how pricey they are! Plus, if you haven't been to Disney, they make them look like they are good for a big meal - when in fact, it can be a little tricky getting your moneys ($11.25) worth at a quick and casual restaurant (unless you primarily eat at Beaches & Cream.

Thank you for the info. regarding this meal vouchers. I think I will go ahead and purchase them through connections, but I will cancel on the 30th day. I will wait to order them for about another week so that my 30th day doesn't fall when I'm a WDW. I don't want to take a chance that I'm not able to cancel because I'm out of town.
Can I actually buy the breakfast vouchers for CRT and O'hanas through connections as well?????

Breakfast vouchers are good both both of the breakfasts you mentioned and any of the other character ones. These are good deal because tax and gratuity are included. We are using them for New Year's Breakfast (really brunch) at BOMA on 1/1/04. Have fun!
