A couple of days in DL...Good Economic Place to Stay?

I will be going to a convention in LA July 25-30 and I thought I would drop in on Sunday and check out DL for a couple of days. Which motel is a good, clean, economical place that is within walking distance to DL? Since this will be an additional trip I would like to keep the $$ as low as possible.

Gloria here is the map. I like Park Place Inn, and Park Vue Inn - they are both directly across the street from the cross walk over to DL. I have also stayed at Howard Johnson's - it is very nice and they do have nice internet specials going on. If you get Mousesavors newsletter, you will see a code in there for HJ. It has been a few years but also have stayed at Carousel and Tropicana - they were both fine.

Now every once in a while the Hilton will run a great deal but it needs to be a great deal to be $$

I've stayed at the Howard Johnson Hotel twice and was happy with it. It's about an 8 minute walk to DL. The rooms are large, clean, andso long as you don't face the highway, quiet.
