Hey there folks, just got back from a fantastic, fun filled week in a 2 BR and a Studio at the BWV. Had a great time with the DD's best friend and family. All got along really well for the week, much to my relief. I did have a concern that being that close together for that long might be a strain, but all went really well. I think having a lock-off room made a difference here, we were able to get some separation when we wanted to and weren't in each others faces the whole time.

We managed to hit all the parks, see the MNSSHP, Spectromagic, the new Wishes fireworks display (great stuff!), Illuminations, the Jamin Jungle Parade, the Hoop De Do Review, and Fantasmic. The friends first trip to the World was an over all success, and I get the impression they had a great time. At least that is what they are telling me. All in all, it was a great trip for first timers. I'm hoping we can plan antoher one and do some of the not-so-usual things and sights next time. We'll see.

I'm not one for doing detailed trip reports, but will be more than happy to answer any questions that are asked.

Great to be back, but I wish we were still there

Welcome back Joe! Glad to hear you had a great time!

So- what did you think of the BWV? Was this your first stay there? Love to hear about MCSSHP too. Happy Camper posted some great picture of it, and I'd love to be able to take the family some time!

Welcome back Joe -- sounds like a great time!

Question: Where did you watch the Wishes fireworks display from?

P.S.
Tried to get all the cold weather out of here while you were gone -- didn't get it done! Hopefully not a great shock to your system! :D

The weather change was a real shock to our systems, and a harsh reminder that the vacation was indeed over!

We watched wished from Main Street, right in front of Casey's hot dog place. The framing of the Castle by the fireworks was spectacular! Something you shouldn't miss. I'll have to see how the pictures turned out and try to get one or two posted. They really were spectacular. My recommendation is to be on Main Street, far enough back from the Castle that you are clear of any obstructions and have a very clean view. It really was well worth it.

Thanks Joe - looking for good spots for these fireworks! It sounds like you really enjoyed the fireworks!

Hey, Joe, welcome back.

We watched Wishes twice. Once, we stood on the wooden walkway from the riverboat to splash mountain and another time from just outside of the park near the monorail track. Both times, we missed a lot. CMs told us that with the new fireworks, you should really be on Main Street facing the castle and quite a distance from it. (Almost sounded like you should be on the upper platform of the train station.) Some of the fireworks are planted very, very close to the castle, too, I understand.

I'll be back in just a few and will definitely catch them from the front of the castle. Seems these aren't to be viewed from side angles or other lands.

Thanks for writing and letting me remember being home!
