I am trying my best to figure out a way to take a very inexpensive trip to Disney in December. Can you suggest some Good Fast Food Deals in MGM, MK & Epcot. I need a decent price with lots of food.
My best deal is Beaches and Cream quick and casual voucher , order a dbl cheeseburger and split it with a friend, 11.00 for 2 people and you can get a No Way Jose to boot. We like the plaza just to the right of Tomorrow Land, never crowded

Pecos Bill's has the double cheeseburger (buy an extra bun if there are two of you) and that great topping bar. They have a great broccoli/jicama slaw salad there too. The wraps are good-but way too much for me-great to split. MGM I love the baked potato with chili and cheese across from Beauty and the Beast. The footlongs are great too, and I'm not really a hotdog eater. Each may still be under $4 and are a meal in themselves. I find a Mickey Bar also fills me up for several hours... We always end up at the Electric Umbrella in Epcot it seems, the cheeseburgers are great there too.
I find the kids meals to be plenty most of the time and they come with a drink!!! Since we usually only drink our water, this is an extra bonus! We tend to carry snacks: granola bars, baby carrots, apples, nuts, grapes so we can often get by with ordering less food. I would rather split something and split another something later than getting a whole meal each and throwing any of that expensive food away! We budget $60/day for our family of 4.

When we eat counter service food these are our favorites. Based on price, quality and selection of food:
MGM: ABC Comissary
Epcot: Tangerine Cafe (Morocco)
MK: Columbia Harbor House (near Haunted Mansion)

I have found that every counter service restaurant we've ever eaten at the World serves HUGE portions, plenty big enough for two. And we're not dainty eaters. Bigest portions I've seen were at Ray's Starlight Cafe at the MK and the Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken was quite good!

Peco Bills and Beaches and Cream get my votes as well. But as it has been pointed out, the portions at most places are really good.
Check out some menus though, as I found there are some sit downs that have prices that are very in line with counter service, and it gives a little bit of cozy down time.

Similar to the above:
MK: Pecos (ya know we use the ol' second bun)
Epcot: Tangerine
AK: Flame tree (easy to share there)
MGM: Ugh - always tough to get anything tasty on a budget! ;)

Tusker House has wonderful food, also plentiful enough to split. If AK is still offering that lunch deal, it would be a good offer to get you through the day.
At Columbia Harbor House, we split the Captain's Combo, which has fish and chicken and a huge mess of fries. The drink is large enough to split, too.

I must agree with Brer about Beaches and Cream. Last year (2002) was our first trip and I did the connections vouchers for $11.00. There was DH, 2 DD's and myself and we couldn't finish what we ordered for two people plus dessert so......the girls had a midnight snack as well as their father. Lots of food for the $$ you spend.

I have to ask, what all does Beaches and Cream serve??? I guess in my mind I picture it as a dessert place..... We usually have a sit down restaurant meal once a day and then bring snacks and sandwiches to fill in. Where exactly is Beaches and Cream???

I just wanted to mention, I got the roll up sandwich at Pecos this past summer and it was huge and also delicious. I was only able to eat half of it, and Dh finished up the rest.

Wanda, Beaches and Cream is right between the Beach Club and the Yacht Club on the Stormalong Bay side. They serve burgers, hot dogs, a few other sandwiches, chili, caesar salad, onion rings, etc. Not a big menu but the quality is very good!
