I configured Live 365 to run in Winamp (a free media player from http://www.winamp.com) You can have Live 365 supply the music feed as an MP3 stream. (Select MP3 Player under listen settings on Live 365)
Then as you open EACH preset station on live365 it runs in Winamp.
Right click on Winamp player
Choose Bookmarks -> Add current as bookmark
Now in your winamp bookmarks is this station. But the link name is the LONG HTTP URL (address). So I rename bookmark...
Choose Bookmarks -> Edit bookmarks...
Enter a new name for the displayed name of the bookmark (I enter the station name)
So- I have all my favorite stations as bookmarks in Winamp. I just click on the station I want to listen to right in Winamp, and it starts playing (after buffering up).
Right click on Winamp player
Choose Bookmarks -> {desired station name}
Since I'm not opening the live365 site directly, no popups. But you don't have a display telling you what song is playing - but I don't mind! :) And all this works fine with a free account.
Listening to Brother Bear music right now... :mrgreen:
