Letting you choose!

I have a little dilemma, and I am hoping you all will help me out. It is possible that AliKat and myself will be able to afford a deluxe resort for our December trip. Right now we are booked at POR. Here is my problem...which one? The choices will be between AKL and WL. The one with the most votes by the end of today is the one we will try. We have visited both of these resorts, but have never stayed at either one. HELP!!!

I'll vote for the one I chose for our Christmas trip:

Wilderness Lodge!

for it's "home-y" feel at Christmas time.

I don't think you can go wrong with either resort. Both are absolutely gorgeous and you'll have a great time at either one.


The WL tends to be my family's favorite. We've stayed at both AKL and WL twice, and I tend to find the CMs at WL a little more friendlier than at AKL. But I know there are others here who have found it differently.

Sorry I cannot be of more help, but I also have a hard time choosing between the two.

I've seen both decorated for christmas, and they are both again gorgeous. I'd probably go for the WL.

If you enjoy spending time at the resort, the AKL is my recommendation--we actually spent a day there without going to the parks! It is breathtaking, full of culture and art, and watching the animals at night from your balcony is an experience to be treasured!

I'd stay at the WL because the AKL is more remote.

The WL is close to a lot of things.

I absolutely love AKL but since your trip is December I would have to say Wilderness Lodge. It just gives me that Christmassy feeling. Now are you sure you can get Reservations for WL - December is tough. Good luck you will love either of these resorst

I'll have to say the Wilderness Lodge, we're staying there this December as well. From the pictures I've seen, and what I've heard from my friends who have stayed there, I think it will be fabulous.
Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be great, but the WL is so close to the Magic Kingdom, my favorite place!!!!! :mickeyXmas:

We just got back from a stay at AKL in Sept. we loved it and would definitely stay again. BUT, since you are there during this festive holiday season and, as Mike said, it is closer to more things, I woudl choose the WL.

WL gets my vote - as you can see, it really DID for this coming trip!

While they are both lovely resorts I do not think anything has quite the Christmas feel like the WL (except the GF). I do hope for your sake they have rooms though as the week we called for had no rooms at all.......You will have a great time wherever you end up. You cannot go wrong with Disney at Christmas..............

Looks like I will be trying for WL. If they don't have any ressies left, I guess we might have to "suffer" it out at AKL. I know, it will be quite hard to take (lol). Thanks for all of your input, I appreciate it. I'll let you know where we end up.

We have stayed at both, and our family vote definiately goes WL. We loved AKL, but we love WL even more. From what I have seen, Christmas looks to be fabulous there.

It's official--well, almost. We will be spending 4 nights at WL (14-18 ), however it wasn't available on the 13. SOOOOO, we are staying at AKL for one night, and then switching to WL. YAY!!!!
