Val ate at CLUB 33 last night

As if I wasn't jealous enough that my DD was going to DL without me, but she also got to eat at Club 33! I hinted at it in my last post on the dining, and at the time I knew she actually had reservations but didn't want to jinx anything.

She lucked out a couple of weeks ago meeting someone that had a connection to a member. They offered to try to get reservations for her, and they did.

She said it was amazing! They even got to view Fantasmic from the Balcony. She went with her two roommates and her old roommate from the College Program. They got the 5 course meal. She was prepared to just taste everything thinking she wouldn't like much, but she said everything was very good. She is still somewhat a picky eater although she is getting over that, but that is why she didn't think she would like the fancier food.

She promised pictures, but I don't know how soon she'll get to post them.

I didn't talk to her much about it, because they are now on their way to the Price Is Right.

OMG, the jealously meter just pegged! That has got to be one of the top experiences for any true Disney fan. Congrats, albeit jealous congrats, to Val.

Oh my gosh, I'm soooo green with envy..... how lucky is that?? very lucky , very lucky... I'm hope she keeps everything she can...menus, napkins, anything with Club 33 on it... this is majorly cool....

How wonderful! I hope her luck continued with fabulous prizes on the Price Is Right! (Doing a Barker Girls walker wave to the convertible and the trip to Maui for Val) :thumbsup:

She bought a key chain. They don't list the prices of things, so she made sure she didn't pick something too big and be shocked by the price - especially after she just spent so much for dinner. This was a budget trip until the offer of reservations at Club 33 came up.

However, they also took the pens they used, and a few other trinkets with the name on it that I can't remember.

When the guy told her he might be able to get her a reservation, she called me and asked if she was crazy to think about going and spending so much for dinner. I'm sure she knew what my answer would be, but she just needed confirmation that it wasn't too much and she wasn't crazy. She knew it was probably a once in a lifetime chance.

It didn't take much to convince the other 3 either. One of them is a major Disney Geek like us, so he was in right away. The other likes to go to fine dining places and has eaten at Victoria and Alberts a few times, so he was in. The 3rd one had never heard of the place, and was just going along. Then she mentioned it to someone and they of course freaked out, and then she realized how cool of an opportunity it was.

Unfortunately they didn't even make it inside the Price is Right. They give you tickets to stand in line and get tickets. They had the tickets to stand in line, but when they got there they discovered a huge crowd. Mostly college kids on Spring Break and many of them there since last night. Even if they had known that, they would have had to miss Club 33 to do that, and that wasn't going to happen.

Wow - I'm one of those who has only seen the elevator, I thought I was special because I got to stand in the elevator!! Wow - what a chance of a life time, good for her :)
