Ticket Question

I am trying to figure out what ticket option will work out best for my trip next June. We will be arriving late Friday night, and leaving the following Friday morning. If we get the UPH, we have to try and get the first & last day dropped. Has anyone had any luck with this strategy? It seems the UPH, which there is a DVC discount for I believe, would give us much more schedule flexibility. But I'm wondering if the hassel of trying to get days dropped off, etc., is worth it, or if I should just get advance purchase Park Hoppers. Too bad APs aren't cost effective this year! They make it soooo much easier :)

Have you thought about a 7 day PHP? Any days and/or plusses that you don't use will always be good. So, if you go to the parks 5 days and use 2 plusses you'll still have 2 days and 2 plusses left on your tickets which you can use the next time you go, and you will have paid for them at current prices. That's what we did for our trip next August. We're spending 5 nights at WDW and 2 at Uni. Any days or plusses we don't use on our 7 day PHP's we'll use the next time we go.
