The grand total of change in my piggy bank: $48 !!!!!!!
I rolled changed before our trip July, so this is what we've saved since we've been back. There is about another $10 or so in there, but not enough of one kind of coin to roll. But, rest assured it is the beginning of another trip.

Wahoo, Cheri! Great job saving! I think that we are at about $30+/-. I haven't rolled it yet, but there are a few bills in there too! I usually put a dollar in when I need a couple of quarters. ;)

Well, we cashed in our change about 2 months ago which came to $135!!!!! I bought Disney Dollars with those. Now we have maybe $25 in there and whatever we have up to a few days before the trip I will put into Disney Dollars too.
I just heard a good suggestion on TV. Why not cash in your change and put the amount in a separate bank account JUST for Disney trips. Each time you get a bunch saved, make a deposit. Start the day after you return home and it will add up during the year. '
I hope to start it (unless by the day we return we are rolling around under the car seats looking for money to buy a meal with!!!)

Yeah Cheri thats great!
Thats enough to pay for a meal, or buy a souvenier or two(or many if you go to the Outlet Mall). I have a hard time not taking from our jar for the kids for ice cream or such at school.

Good for you LGC! It's amazing how quickly the coins add up. It almost feels like a bonus when you cash them.

Good job LGC. Another tip about change, bring a jar with you on the trip and start there with it.You will be surprised how much you get back in the world.Ya gotta be strong tho and NOT spend it,that is unless your kids are making you bonkers, then pass out the quarters and head too the arcade!

Better than a piggy bank, get a water jug. We empty our quarters each day into a big water jug. On our March 2002 trip we had $1200 after saving for 15 months. For our August 2002 trip we had $375.00 after six months of saving. We slowed down a little.
We have 10 months till our next trip, hopefully we should have about $900.00.
It also saves me from using the quarters when we past prize and candy machines. The kids would rather see the money in the "Disney jar".

You have great self-control, I started with a disney jar but ended up getting into it for lunch money for the kids, ice cream truck driving by and a few too many other things.
Kudos to the control you have showed!!!!

When I realized the ONLY way I will EVER get back to WDW was to save, save, save I started paying with bills only in February. So far I have purchased $140 in Disney dollars and have about $60+ more in change to roll and take to the bank. I don't trust myself so after the bank I go straight to the disney store to buy disney dollars. I figure at this rate I should make it back there by the time I'm 60 and the girls or grandchildren by then (LOL) can push me in a wheelchair.
