Hi,
I'm going to WDW from December 3rd to December 14th, 2003, and staying at All Star Music. My last trip was in October, 2000, when I ate a lot in the All Star Sports' End Zone food court, some park restaurants, the Hoop de Doo Review, Rain Forest Cafe, and the Big River Grille at the Boardwalk.
This time, with eleven full days in the World, I want to do things and eat where I've never eaten before, mostly in the resorts many of which I've never seen. I would like to know if anyone here has eaten in the restaurants listed, and your impressions.
Here we go. This is a partial list as I have not decided all my days.
December 3: Dinner, Biergarten, Germany, World Showcase with HockeyMom and Fulltimemama, 6:30 pm.
December 4:
Breakfast, Boma, AKL, 8:45 am.
Dinner, 'Ohana, Polynesian, 6:30 pm.
December 5:
Breakfast, Boatwright's Dining Hall, Port Orleans-Riverside, 8:40 am.
Lunch and Tagrel meet, Trail's End Buffeteria, Fort Wilderness, 2:00 pm. Dinner unlikely after Tagrel meet at 4:00 pm and MVMCP approximately 7:00 pm, may do counter service after 4:00 pm Tagrel meet.
December 6:
Lunch with HockeyMom and SusanL, Beaches and Cream, Beach Club, approximately 12:00 noon. MegaMouse meet at Dolphin at 2:00 pm. Dinner uncertain after Cirque du Soleil show at 6:00 pm.
December 7:
Meals uncertain between Stop Drop & Roll Meet at MGM & Dole Whip Meet at Aloha Isle, MK? Dinner likely at Intermission Food Court @ All Star Music but I'm open to suggestions.
December 8:
Keys to the Kingdom tour meeting at the Gardens near MK City Hall at 8:15 am so lunch included.
Dinner at Concourse Steakhouse, Contemporary, 6:30 pm.
December 9:
Yuletide Fantasy tour meeting at Epcot Guest Relations at 8:45 am.
Dinner at Olivia's Cafe, Old Key West Resort, 6:30 pm.
That's all I'm sure of at this time. I'd like to know what you think.

First of all, sounds like you have some wonderful things planned for your upcoming trip!! Lots of meets, and opportunities to meet so many Taginators!
O'hana's is great. The flamed cooked beef, turkey, shrimp and pork are delicious. Everything about this meal is tastey and fun! (in my opinion)
Breakfast at Boatwrights is a MUST do for us on each trip. The banana stuffed French toast with strawberry puree cannot be beat!! This is an absolute favorite of ours. This trip we will be trying the sweet potato pancakes. Have heard rave reviews about these.
Beaches and Cream, old time soda fountain. Food is very good, the ice cream treats outstanding!!! A fun, lively place to enjoy the company of friends.
Those are the only places on your list that I have tried. Love your itinerary. Have a great trip!!

:eat: Now you've gone and made me hungry! :eat:
Of the places you mention I have only been to O'Hana and I have to tell you, its my very favorite. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
The only suggestion I have is for your undecided meal between the Stop Drop and Roll meet & the Aloha Isle meet why not try lunch in the castle if you haven't already been there? The food is really quite good and lunch prices are better than dinner prices. The Atmosphere is great and if they seat you by the windows you can look down onto Fantasyland while you eat.
Part of the fun of Disneyworld is trying all the restaurants. I've barely scratched the dining surface and am looking forward to trying some new places and of course going back to my beloved O'Hana in December.
You are going to LOVE the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I did it last Sept. and am dying to do it again. I think with each different host you'd get a whole different experience. I just did a similar tour at Disneyland in August but this was much better in my opinion.
Enjoy your trip and I'll see you at the Ft. Wilderness meet & Stop Drop & Roll meet.
According to Stinkerbelle:
"The only suggestion I have is for your undecided meal between the Stop Drop and Roll meet & the Aloha Isle meet why not try lunch in the castle if you haven't already been there? The food is really quite good and lunch prices are better than dinner prices. The Atmosphere is great and if they seat you by the windows you can look down onto Fantasyland while you eat. "
Can one still get this ressie at this late date, that sounds great!
We went by Olivia's and thought the prices for the selection were even worse than Disney usually offers
we love Boma's and Ohana's and Beaches and Cream are a must do for us every trip

Jim,
Well I too will be doing the Biergarten on Dec. 3. The food is authentic German food and very good.
Your Dec. 4th plan looks good to me. Boma is very good...better for dinner than for BF...and Ohana's is great.
I can only comment on Trail's End for Dec. 5th....great value.
Beaches and Cream have very good burgers...and delicious desserts.
Dole Whip....mmmmm.
Concourse Steak House...delicious.
Can't comment on the others.

Hi,
I am setting up priority seatings as I decide where I want to eat. My long distance phone bill will be rather high next month.
I called tonight and tried to squeeze in lunch at the castle December 7 as Stinkerbelle suggested. No room.
But I did get a seating at 4:30 pm December 10 at LeCellier in the Canada pavilion at World Showcase.

Hi Jim,
They are all great choices and we have tried them all except Trails End and Olivia's. (would like to know more about them, let us know when you return) Ohana's is one of our all time favorites, fantastic open pit cooking. Desert is well worth the wait. Beaches and Cream has an awesome steak sandwich and chicken soup. Boma is great for breakfast (banana maccadamian nut muffins  or dinner very unique items, even the prime rib. For us the Biergarten is a must, we usually make it a lunch. They have some of the best German sausage and authentic spaetzles you can find along with other very authentic German dishes and entertainment.
We found the Yachtsman steakhouse to be very good, we liked it over the Concourse steakhouse. (Great sauted mushrooms) The Boatwrights is a great breakfast especially the stuffed French toast, this is a must and so is the French toast at The Main Street Bakery!

Hi, those all sound wonderful but really haven't tried many of them. I seem to stick to the same ones, Crystal Palace, CRT, Hollywood and Vine. This time we're trying Le Cellier, I hear it's great. We're also making ressies at the Prime Time Cafe. I haven't eaten there but a lot of our members here seem to love it.
I'm getting so excited, not that much longer to go!!
Good luck with your ressies, I'm sure they'll all be great!!! :mickeyHalloween:

Hey, we've got a PS for Ohana on 12/4 at 6:30pm too!!! I've never eaten there before but I've heard it's really good and I'm looking forward to the coconut races.
We'll be at the Trail's End meet and also the 12/7 Dole Whip, both I've never experienced before. We'll also be at SusanL's B&C meet, but I've eaten there before.
I've been to most of the other resturants you mentioned. I love LeCellier and Boma. They're both really good. Another place you might want to squeeze in is Brown Derby in MGM. Not much on ambiance but the food is top notch. I'm going to try to book a Lunch with an Artist meal when I hit the 30 day mark.

Hey Jimbolini!
What a great list you have there! It really looks like you are setting yourself up for a great dining experience!
My thoughts:
'Ohanas: Great Choice! It is fabulous and you won't be dissappointed - they have something for everyone.
Beaches & Cream: Great burgers! And their sundaes are delicious! The portions are big enough to share (say share a burger, onion rings and a sundae and you have plenty to go around for two).
Boma for Breakfast: Great idea! AKL is wonderful in the morning - able to see lots of animals and the breakfast is yummy (very similar to most all-you-can-eat breakfasts).
As stated above, LeCellier is fabulous - especially if you like steak. We had a wonderful dinner there last Feb.
