Am I the only one who was lost at first and felt like I lost my best friend???? However, all is well now and I now feel at home and I can navigate quite well.... I'm sorry that I don't have any tips to share, yet but I do love it all... thanks so much!!:clapping:

to be honest, I can't even remember what the old boards looked like... I sailed right into this board. I love it!! :mickey:

I feel the same way Sharon. :) Most of what I didn't like was just not knowing where to find things. That went away in no time and now it is great.

Change is always difficult, and takes time. I'm so happy that people are starting to get used to these new boards and the supporting software. And giving it a chance in the first place!

There have been amazingly few problems (knock on wood) and you all have done a great job settling in! While I'm trying to help out with reattaching avatars and fixing countdowns don't be afraid to ask for help as well. Just send me a PM or email at tagrel@tagrel.com We'll get you fixed up and ready to go!

I'd say the #1 issue was that many people forgot their passwords. If you are having trouble getting a new one assigned, don't hesitate to contact me as well. I can easily fix this for you.

And suggestions and any issues you run into - ask away! I can't promise to implement every idea, but I can at least know and think about them! :)

A P.S.

Dave, no doubt I owe you a big thanks for my avatar and tag :) I was soo surprised to see Baci the first ime I logged on to the new site :) And when I couldn't figure out how to get my lovely MissBianc-made tag back, I heard you helped with that as well.

A great big thanks! :flowers: and :nicehug:

I have a question Dave:
How come you cannot paste into the reply boxes?
I found I can paste by using the edit button in my browser window, but I was very surprised there was no button in the reply window to do it. Nor is there a copy button.

Copy and paste from another window into the advance - I must not understand the question correctly  - not an unusual occurrence:lol:
I right clicked inside the reply for both - now I did have the reply boxes "open" or a curse inside them when I went to copy then paste

I feel at home too - the new site is funtastic!!
So very easy to use!!!
Well except for my countdown thingy but it's my computer
that's causing the problem :(
I just go in every morning and change the numbers myself :yikes:

Again - this site is funtastic!!

Maybe it's browser related. But I've tried it with both Netscape and Firefox and there's no C or P on either one. In fact, the right click options read more like an animated window would: back, forward, reload and stop. Nothing for copy, cut or paste.
Which is another issue. When I want to edit, I have to keep pressing my back button as I can't cut.

Okay, trying it now with IE (which I never use) and Paste is an option on the right click. Not copy or cut though. And Back and forward are still there.

Perhaps I should post this in Tech Diff instead?

If there's no menu copy and paste, you can nearly always use the following key combinations on the Windows platform. By "nearly always" I mean "always that I've ever noticed but you never know".

copy: ctrl c
paste: ctrl v
cut: ctrl x

Sorry for the delay ddoll - tech diff probably is the best place for specific usage questions, and helps others find the answers to the questions too!

I guess the makers of the editor windows decided to 'leave off' special buttons for cut, copy and paste. I've used the keyboard combinations that Miss B posted for so long I didn't even notice.

You can cut/copy and paste in all the editor windows. I do it ALL the time. I'd suggest writing them on a stickey note until you get them down, and then you will never go back!

Nah, using the edit button in the browser is easier. Thanks for the hint though.
