We saw this one last Monday. I have wrestled with this movie for most of the time. It keeped us completely involved - there was no one moving in the theater for the whole time. The performances are unbelieveable - some of the best this year. The directing by Eastwood is great. If you thought Unforgiven was tough - this one may be one step beyond it!

But if you want a movie that takes you away into make believe this is not it. And like Tinkerbell said it is not for children. It is an adult film that has the ability to walk out of the theater with you and make you think about the film!

Mystic River will make my top 10 for the year - it may even come in the top 3 but it is indeed a movie with some harshness, darkness, and tough story telling!

:tink: This movie had me from beginning to end. Sean Penn and Tim Robbins are sure to get Oscar nominations as is Clint Eastwood.

It's a dark movie & not for children. Great movie though & a must see. Sean Penn gets better on the eyes & such  as he ages. :tink:

:tink: And how about a Woo & Hoo for Sean Penn & Tim Robbins for winning best actor & supporting actor awards last evening on the Golden Globes. Clint was overlooked in favor of Franciis Ford Coppola's daughter & Nickolas Cages' cousin, Sophia Coppola. :tink:
